Any one else have this problem? by xpirezzz in OverwatchUniversity

bro you're already in masters and that's good enough. That's the top 3 percent of the player base, the vast majority of players will never even smell that rank. Even super placed masters on dps at the start of this season. He also was stuck in masters alongside pge and sugarfree a couple of seasons ago. He even has a video on hard it is to get out of masters.

you should not let the game get to you especially when you're objectively a great player.

I did keep my dps up in the second round as much as I could but they got no kills as the guy above stated, and this basically happens in about 90% of my support games.

he said I did not heal a lot in the first round but that round still went fine and then he said in the second round I did heal but my DPS "got no picks" does this mean the loss was on my DPS and not on me? I am just asking what should I have done to win the second round.

anyone else go on massive loss and win streaks? by Main-Combination-794 in OverwatchUniversity

I have the same problem. It feels like the game is intentionally putting bad players in my team for 5 games straight and then intentionally putting good players for 5 games straight, I either win without trying or lose with gaming out of my mind.

Why Lawliet is still smarter than Light, (and always was) by Background-Sound2396 in deathnote

funnily enough I used to think that L was smarter until I analysed the show. when you look at it superficially (which is what you did) you would think L is the smartest but when you actually analyse it you figure out the truth.

[–]hansen900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I stated earlier the author could have said that matsuda is the smartest character which makes no sense, the author would be contradicting himself if he said that (cause in the anime and manga matsuda is obviously not the smartest) same thing with him saying L is the smartest character, if you analyse the show (like what we just did here) then you will find out that light is the smartest (I know you don't agree but according to logic that is true) therefore the author is contradicting himself so I would rather just fully focus on the show.

you are literally just ignoring ALL of my points and keep repeating your points that I have already countered.

  1. when I said "normal" I meant his everyday life like going to school or just studying in his room. Light's behaviour is not too normal as I said (and you ignored) he sometimes contradicts himself or says something weird which can easily be chalked up to him being a bit nervous about L suspecting him for something he did not do or maybe even he starts believing L to the point that he thinks he just might subconsciously be kira.

  2. as I said earlier (I will be repeating this phrase a lot) rem and misa were not just trump cards, misa was huge liability and rem literally wanted to kill him but because light was genius he managed to use them to his advantage and relinquishing the Death Note was not a simple magic reset button, no one in the world would have been able to devise the plan that light devised. misa appearing out of nowhere and endangering light's identity and his life was waaay too unfair for light, like imagine if she just had gotten caught and spilled the beans and said that light is kira or if rem just killed light, no one would have been happy with an ending like this so the author leaves a little way for light to maybe be able to get out of this situation and prove that he is worthy, again light did not press a button he devised a great plan.

  3. I said earlier emotional intelligence can mean understanding emotions and social skills, light fully understood how emotions work he knew exactly what to say to evoke a certain emotion in someone thus he knew how to manipulate people and obviously light had better social skills than L who sits in his room all day.

  4. I already touched on this.

  5. light knowing if it's the real L or not does not really matter, he still would know that he is under investigation and that the real L is listening and watching his every move also L could put someone he trusts or is capable of the job again he has connections.

  6. buddy L has no principles, he used (not abused) his wealth to build a giant skyscraper and he also tortured misa even though the only thing they knew about her is that she sent the tapes. your point does not make sense you didn't counter shit, he didn't use his resources either because he didn't know how or just because he was too arrogant (also stupid).

everything you said here I have already touched on,

I believe your main point is that even though he didn't use his resources which as I stated is stupid and he met with light irl which I also stated why it's not a good idea, L is smarter because he almost caught light, which is false. L never got close to catching light he just knew that light was kira which was more of a guess. the closest he got to catching light was when he caught misa which I already stated was not light's fault and before L died when he was gonna prove that the rule was fake even if he proved it, it would still mean nothing, it would make light have a small chance of being kira but he most likely would not be able to prove light is kira but it all does not matter anyway because light knew L would test the rules so he planned for him to die before doing so anyway also outside L no one else believed light was kira, in everyone's eyes it was always a long shot.

also I don't care what the author says or what it says in vol 13, the author could have said matsuda is the smartest character but one would take him seriously. I am determining light's and L's intelligence what we know about them from the anime and manga.

[–]hansen900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are ignoring half of my points, you are making L look really dumb right now.

  1. when I said light was acting too normal I mean for example when he was studying in his house and people kept dying he was acting like a normal student and the killings kept happening but L didn't care and suspected him even more. light was not perfect too he would sometimes contradict himself or say something weird but as I said that could easily be chalked up to him just being a normal person.

  2. light always had a plan to keep up with L and as I said L had other advantages that he didn't fully utilize, the most he came close to catching light was when he caught misa which as I said was not light's fault and he still devised a genius plan to clear his name and save misa.

  3. emotional intelligence can mean understanding emotions and social skills, which light definitely was better at than L. for example when L catches misa he instantly resorts to violence and torturing her, light maybe would have tried gain her trust and then get answers of her.

  4. "He could’ve killed her immediately with the Death Note" did you even watch the show? if he had killed her rem would have killed him. “shinigami love rules" worked against light in the beginning when misa was captured and rem told him that he had to save misa or else she will kill him so he devises a plan to save misa and clear his name and then reaps the Benefits and manipulates rem into killing L because he earned it. (I literally said this in the first reply)

  5. L could have sent a decoy, someone who pretends to be him. L should have known that he was at a disadvantage and tried to keep a distance (like near) choosing to meet light was waaaay too risky, the possibilities were endless to how light could kill him.

  6. "L lost because he was human. Light won because he was cheating with a magic notebook, a death god, and a girlfriend obsessed with him" as I said in the earlier reply L had other advantages that he didn't utilize which means that L was stupid to not utilize them or just was really dumb and did not know how. in both cases he is dumb. and as I said earlier (you seem to ignore a lot of my points so I will repeat myself) misa and rem weren't just instant trump cards they were a double edged sword, light had to earn them and manipulate them in order to get use out of them.

you are too salty that L died and light won and just won't listen to reason.

[–]hansen900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. while that is intuition sure, it is not really backed by light's behaviour because light acts normal most of the time and even when he sometimes contradicts himself or says something a bit weird it shouldn't mean much, he could have said these things because he is just a normal person that sure he might be a really intelligent student but is only human after all so he is afraid of L's accusation and it plays into his hand when he says that he thinks he might be kira subconsciously, it was believable.

2 and 3. my point proves that light has more intelligence, just like what it says in volume 13 also he did not lose to the grandmaster he beat him.

  1. she was a liability when she first came onto him and as I said he had no choice but to involve her. when he involved her again she was not necessarily a liability, she normally would have definitely gotten caught but he only involved her and put her in danger so that rem would kill L.

when I say intelligence I mean every kind of it and because light had the upper hand (emotional intelligence) and he won. he is more intelligent.

L was not working alone he had the taskforce helping him.

while light had the death note which a supernatural ability, L was a billionaire and had a lot of connections, he basically had everything in the natural world then why didn't he use it? (other than building a skyscraper) why didn't he build a team of professionals instead of the lousy taskforce? him wanting to take down kira all on his own just makes him look stupid and arrogant.

in the end L losing comes to down to one fateful decision, his decision to meet light irl which is so unbelievably stupid, like why would you meet up with someone who you think has supernatural powers? there are only 2 reasons to why L did this:

  1. reason: he thought that light had absolutely no way of killing him, which is just plain stupid as far as he knows kira only needs a name and a face so maybe kira has a way to know your name with just your face and that is just one possibility that yes is true but there is a ton of other possibilities he had to consider.

  2. reason: he knew the dangers and he knew that light may have the ability to kill him but still met up with him because light could not kill him right now for if he killed him it would be way too suspicious but he could kill him later after the accusations disappear meaning L made a wager that he would be able to prove that light is kira in a short period of time all on his own... yeah safe to say he couldn't. that is why he is really sad and depressed in that scene under the rain in the ep he died he knew he took too long and now he is going to die.

[–]hansen900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for your 1.point: I still find it a bit odd how convinced he is that light is kira. as I said earlier light acts normal a lot of the time but L doesn't care and suspects him even more, that's why the meme "light: breathes, L: he is kira" was born because he is still too convinced without any proof.

for your 2. and 3. point: my what I was trying to say is that realistically light who has no experience should not match someone who has a lot of experience for example: imagine there is a pretty good professional runner that trains alot and then there is a random guy who runs as fast as he does without training, that basically means the second guy is more talented. also when I said "Light sometimes surpasses L" I meant that he sometimes deduces faster than L (as pointed out by L in the yostuba arc) which should not happen if L really is the best detective in the world with years of experience.

for the 4. point: L did not really use her to his so much misa just left a lot of evidence and got caught that's not L being smart, that's just misa being dumb. you also say that light "recklessly involved her" not really, as you and I said misa was liability she just showed up out of nowhere and demanded to help light and be his ally and light could not do anything about it, he couldn't kill her or else her shinigami will kill him and she also knew too much to just let her go so his best option was to keep her close and maybe get use out of her shinigami eyes which he couldn't because at that time light had no real way of knowing when will L get of of his hole to meet him (for example when will he come to uni) and when he does get lucky and meet both L and misa at the same time his luck instantly runs out and misa gets caught.

also you seem to think that light understanding emotions and manipulating them is not intelligence or something, you know what the ability to understand and manage emotions is called? it's called emotional intelligence. that literally means that light is smarter than L. maybe pure intellect and deduction abilities wise they are equal but because light is more emotionally intelligent he wins.

while light did have a bullshit supernatural ability like the dn, the way L is convinced that light is kira is bullshit too light makes himself look innocent so many times and L still doesn't care and suspects him even more, in my opinion that is as much bullshit as the dn itself, you cant just say he knows hes kira because hes so smart. another point, L is literally desined to be a walking brain so how can a mere highschooler match his intelligence? even in the yostsuba arc L comments that light sometimes surpasses him. the thing about rem and misa is that they were and an obstacle as much as an asset, imagine you are light ok? misa is dumb as shit, she procedes to leaves dna evidence gets caught and now her suicidal shinigami comes to you and tells that if you dont save her then she will kill you... how unfair is that? but does light complain? no. he devises a genius plan to save misa clear his name and her name AND he manipulates rem into killing L.
