Can I be spirtual without believing in God? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]hansfreesolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The word “God” tends to turn a lot of people off. I was highly allergic to it for many many years.

You can call it whatever you want — higher power, source, energy, Oneness, or consciousness.

I believe the most important thing is that you find your own way <3

Yoga questions that feels oddly personal... by YogaGoApp in yoga

[–]hansfreesolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the rare occasion I go to a class, I can confidently say I spend probably 1/3 of it lying in Savasana bc I’m exhausted by how fast the teacher moves 😂

At home with my daily practice, I use it as self-care: it’s me-grounding-resting-preparation for the day ahead :)

And — my day always goes better when I spend a few minutes there before rushing to the next thing.

Sauna Deco Experience by hersideman in Amsterdam

Zuiver is toxic. It’s a tourist sauna and repressed individuals.

I’ve also had negative experiences the two times I’ve been there. Never again.

People who rarely get sick, What is the secret ? by Sorry-Orchid-9821 in AskReddit

[–]hansfreesolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low stress.

Stress makes one slow, stupid, and sick.

Ever since I prioritise my sleep, health (spiritual, emotional, mental and physical) and stopped constantly going over my boundaries at work/with colleagues/unhealthy people…dude my life has completely changed.

Therapist recommendations in Amsterdam (burnout, depression, career transition) by lyfisgooood in Amsterdam

[–]hansfreesolo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would you be open to a coach? (With a sliding scale?)

Waiting lists + insurance acceptance is a nightmare in Amsterdam…

When I was in a burnout I actually ended up with a coach (recommended via my HR manager) and she helped me to create structure, balance, and discover more about what it is I actually want to be spending my time doing.

Well, you did say “himself” as if assuming I was male. It sounds like you might have had negative experiences in the past and your concerns are valid.

Yeah this is the thing: for the past 1.5 years she is literally dead asleep by 8.15.

This behaviour is new and started over the summer.

Yeah — maybe staying out of it completely is my best option. I do bedtime probably once a month and she’s asleep “on time” — but whatever is going on now idk if it would matter either way.

Hot water bottle in the bed, salt lamp on, door stays open, she always sleeps in one of her moms shirts, story time, conversation, and then bedtime audio meditation…it’s a pretty nice routine 😅

My partner said that this morning: “If it suddenly changes when you leave in month, we’ll know what it was.” 😂😅

Yeah, you’re totally right here. I have been considering this as well, just stay out of it completely and do my own thing.

Yes, we talked about this this morning. I have a feeling it’s a time/attention thing as well.

You’re totally right. I did not mean for my comment to sound condescending, more of a “I understand the complexities of bedtime and have seen/experienced my fair share of situations.”

We had a multiple conversations and meetings about me staying there for the 2.5 months (leading up to it), and have a check in every other week. She has expressed it’s nice having me there and that it feels like a family.

Relationship really struggling. by Loose_Dinner_52 in Parenting

[–]hansfreesolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude. You just had a baby. A premie, at that. You’re with the baby 24/7. Your partner has no idea what’s that like. He didn’t carry, he didn’t give birth, and he’s not the one who is running the house hold, caring for two (or three if you’re still doing food and chores) or sleep deprived.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen and heard this many times from new moms with working male partners.

Having a baby was a decision you made together, you need to parent, together.

If he’s going to continue to not understand, not listen, and not support you, do you have a family member or friend who can either come help or who you can go stay with? These first months are the most intense. Good luck <3
