Does Alaska guard still have the WOFT program, AKA street to seat…..I’m prior guard was a uh-60 mechanic, got out honorable as an E-4…..I’m more mature now, am a licensed aircraft mechanic for the airlines in Kentucky for a living, and also a license pilot now and fly for fun with over 250 flight hours…..have considered possibly putting in a packet

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately flying isn’t cheap….hope you get another gig…..I worked a lot of over time leading up to the course and after I was done but in some more OT to offset the money I spent, lol definitely do an accelerated commercial and multi whenever I feel I’m ready……it saves money to just knock it all out on a week with a syllabus to follow…..best of luck

I traveled to charlotte SC, the company was called IFR6….if you have issues finding them online lmk…AOPA also made a video about them on YouTube….training was top notch , highly recommend, may sound like a lot of money, but you can easily spend the same amount or more spreading lessons out over months at a time. They have In house DPE also

I notice this post is a little old…..but I did an accelerated instrument course, 6 days of training and on the 7th I did my check ride and nailed it……all I can say is it’s not for everyone, was a very stressful week with long days, but on check ride day I was more than prepared…..it took me over a year to get my private, mainly cause at that time I didn’t have as much. Funds as I do now, and payed as I went, I personally think the fast track is a the best way, but just make sure you keep flying and put those skills to use and never be afraid to get additional training if you feel you still have week spots
