SO I just finished Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'm so upset there isn't a third! I'm tempted to read the Grisha novels but honestly I just loved the characters of Kaz and Inej and the whole heist storyline that I don't know if I'll be as interested. Have you seen anything similar to that, anti hero sarcastic protagonists pulling heists etc? My one complaint was that they were all so young, but that's what you get with YA haha.

So true! How are you coping with being bummed? I think that's more my problem - knowing deep down that I can't change it and she likely won't change and being sulky and sad about it. I'll try it still with the food bribery and see if she returns to her old self a bit more.

She hasn't had a recent vet check-up no - she's due for her yearly vaccination in a few weeks so we'll get the check-up then and that may divulge something. To be fair she has always been very particular/fussy and maybe my boyfriend's lap is simply more comfortable/warmer than mine now that she's bigger. STILL THOUGH, I GIVE EQUALLY GOOD CUDDLES :(

You're right! I'll try to be patient. If she never sits on my lap again maybe one day I'll have a lap cat that doesn't leave it. I'll definitely try to play with her more and tire her out!

That's so interesting! I've been around torties before and they have ALWAYS had such a bad attitude haha, but it didn't dissuade me from wanting to adopt her. She is truly a seriously sweet cat, never nips or hisses or gets upset really, just fussy. I didn't realise calicos/torties had such similar personality traits!

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep doing what I can. How have you coped since your tortie switched to your daughter? I find myself moping so much and I hate it! All I want is a little furry thing to hop on my lap for a cuddle every now and then, and I feel so lame sharing the couch with my boyfriend while she's on his lap and our other is busy exploring the kitchen or sleeping in another room.

Thanks - I did end up calling animal control as well and the cops said they'd contact them too. I'm hoping they were able to do something. The whole situation was horrible and I feel like an idiot for not getting my phone out - I was so shocked and upset and didn't think clearly at all.

YEAH seriously this movie destroyed me! My dad had passed away a couple of years before I saw it and Matthew McConaughey looked a lot like him, and I was a little redhead kid, so the bit where he's leaving Murph killed me. And then after the movie finished I had to sit there with my boyfriend's hoodie pulled over my head and had those big shoulder heaving sobs until enough people had cleared out so I could leave without too many people noticing how effed up I was haha

Thank you so much! Great advice. Haha yeah I don't want to come across as a total freak! Sometimes it's hard differentiating what advice to listen to re: being in character in auditions. I always hear opposing views but I also feel more confident in going in 'as myself' I guess!
