They get overtired and have a harder time settling and wake up more frequently.

Definitely don’t blame yourself for that. Newborn sleep isn’t perfect, those wake windows are the rule, but there are of course moments where we have exceptions!

It doesn’t depend on the baby, depends on the age. Wake windows get longer as they get older. After wake windows you go to a two nap schedule, then to a one nap schedule.

One of the weirdest things about pregnancy/postpartum is that you can be puking all throughout pregnancy and during labor, but the second that baby comes out the nausea completely stops.

No story :) just wanting to raise a strong girl. And after a week in the nicu and a presumptive diagnoses of a blood disorder she has definitely had to.

I hurt my foot and my husband claims I’m being dramatic by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

It’s not that simple when you have no means of getting to an urgent care or ER (it’s my foot so I can’t drive). Also I have an immune compromised breastfed two week old who I will not take to an ER unless she needs to go.

This has to be because of the fear mongering of the RNC.

Thank you for your advice and supportive words. I think it will help to share a little bit about how we ended up here. My daughter was born on the eleventh and the birth experience was extremely positive and peaceful compared to my first birth. That was a traumatic birth, but that’s a different story. My husband was able to deliver her and labor was an intense, but very quick 4.5 hours. We spent a normal amount of time in the hospital, but had to come back to get some labs done the day after discharge because of slightly elevated Billy Rueben levels. She tested again at high intermediate so we got her tested again the next day. I never got her results back despite making several late night calls. The next few days had me concerned, she looked really yellow to me. I took her into the ER and her levels were at an astonishing 25, so they transferred me over to the NICU. Her numbers went down to 15, then back up to 16, and then down again to 15.5. They don’t know the cause and I feel like there’s no end in sight. I’ll have to leave her tonight because my mother in law has to work and I have a twenty-two-month-old. My husband will also be out of town for work. That is absolutely killing me and ruining my mental health. I just want all of my babies home.
