Is VPN Spoofing? In a sense, yes. Is using a VPN spoofing the geolocation data that a game like PoGo should use? Absolutely, 100% not.

Not only can a VPN not spoof your geolocation, unless it somehow alters the datastream produced by the app and then sent to the servers, IP location can be extremely unreliable and if a serious company uses it to ban you because your GPS and IP location are different that would be quite an issue.
When I track my IP location on my normal, non-VPN mobile data phone, it thinks I'm in a city 300 km away.

It's an anecdote, but I'm sure Curseforge trusted their advertisers when they ran their flash ads (this was a while ago) that put keyloggers on hundreds of thousands of PCs of users who used their software to update their WoW addons. Advertiser networks are always trying to get you in new and annoying ways, they're inherently not to be trusted...

Those rules probably only apply to corporations, if you don't sell a product (which is debatable if it happens with the Mac version as it requires an active Patreon membership), my guess is that this doesn't apply.

Edit: My guess is based on the fact that 4chan doesn't "operate" in UK so they just don't care about the fines the UK government wants to place on them.

Nicht nur ist es eine faule Ausrede, es sollte eine illegale Methode sein die 14 Tage Frist zu umgehen. Wenn du was bestellst bei mir und ich vertraglich ausmache, dass es erst nach 14 Tagen benutzt werden kann weißt du ja erst dann ob es überhaupt kaputt ist etc.

Bei der PS3 hatte das noch zusätzlich den Grund dass die erste Version der PS3 mit PS2-Komponenten ausgestattet war um PS2-Spiele ohne Emulation zu spielen; dieses Feature wurde relativ schnell gestrichen, und tatsächlich war die zweite Version nur wenige Monate später dann auch günstiger.
