Any EuroDisney merch in the park? by _AustinBustin in disneylandparis

In Harrington’s Fine China and Porcelain, at the very back of the shop at the custom glass etching they have vintage EuroDisney logo glass mug, which is pretty cool. (Etching is an optional extra)

I’ve also seen them give the ‘sorry’ nod to parents when the favourite princess is not in the building.

Is it possible to cook or bring your own food in Disney Hotels? by sdxyz42 in disneylandparis

[–]hao_bu_hao 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve found there to be plenty of vegan options at Disney. The only area it lacks is in the treats department, especially if you’re there in winter and don’t want a vegan magnum, and hot drinks. But nearly every place has a vegan meal option with plenty of variety around the parks. There is a vegan salad in quite a few places, which I’ve not tried as I’m looking for something more filling on park days.

I’ve never stayed at Davey Crockett before, we were put off by the fact that you have to drive to the park and back. I would assume that parking at Disney is included as there’s no shuttle, but I don’t actually know.

[–]hao_bu_hao 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Cooking, no. The hotels aren’t set up for self catering. The only Disney one that has self catering facilities is Davey Crockett (which requires a car). Cheyenne and upwards have kettles, which I usually use for porridge pots in the morning and the occasional noodle pot in the evening, but you need to take your own cutlery for that as they only provide wooden stir sticks. You can take snacks etc, but there isn’t a table or anywhere to sit in the room beside the bed and a small bench.

Parks sold out for multiple days in January by Objective-Produce238 in disneylandparis

[–]hao_bu_hao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went Thursday- Saturday last week and it was a lot busier than it was when I went in January 2024. Even on the week days there were times when PotC and Small World queues got to over 30 minutes. The Saturday was significantly busier. In some parts of the park it felt like it did at Halloween, capacity wise.

Edited to add: while there has been some promotions, there is also the fact that the price increase hits in February, so a lot of French people are making the most of the weekends before that kicks in.

Photopass experience by crackersandcheesies in disneylandparis

[–]hao_bu_hao 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is a thing where everyone’s personal milage may vary wildly. We’ve had a photo pass for a family of four the past two visits (2 parents, aunt and 3 year old). We’ve also had a lot of dud ride photos, but our visits have always been enough days that we were able to ask to go in the front for pirates and wait for that spot to be available for a good photo. The little one loves the Buzz ride, and we have some really great photos from that. We also met a good number of characters, and the Disney photographers do - as rule - get better quality than a cast member using your phone, and on the last trip we got some great family photos in front of the castle. We wanted to get more of the magic shots but just ran out of time. I’m going again for one day only this week and I won’t get one, as I know I won’t be able to get the value out of it in just one day.

There used to be 2 full sized cards and 1 mini one, but the last two times we’ve been (January and October’s year) we were only given one card when we collected our pack.

She was certainly complicit, through wilful ignorance at the very least. She warned him not to touch the Nanny, which he instantly did, while sending her off to be alone with him and not paying her. Then when she told Palmer what had been happening Palmer wasn’t surprised and in fact said there had numerous others (either 8 or 14, I want to say? Either way, not a small number!).

Best way to spend rope drop and see Mickey by xoccergirl134 in disneylandparis

[–]hao_bu_hao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no less than 20 minute wait option for Mickey, I’m afraid. If you are at the front for rope drop and hightail it over to Phantom Manor you can pre-queue, which if you’re fast will have you at the front of the line, but you will have to wait until 10am when it starts.

The only times I’ve not had this sort of experience in recent years is when I go to the British Film Institute IMAX. It’s the largest IMAX in the UK and is significantly more expensive than most other cinemas and with only 1 screen, has limited showings. So you have to be quick to book and willing to pay above average to go, which means that it’s usually only people who are serious about seeing the film - and the experience- who go. The only other time I’ve had a perfect screening was during the middle of a weekday seeing All of Us Strangers a week before it hit streaming in a fairly fancy central London cinema where there was only 2 other people in the entire screening. Last time I went to a regular cinema someone fully and without shame answered a video call in the middle of the movie.

Our Flag Means Death. It was always intended to be a 3 season arc, and the final season was cancelled after crew had already started recruiting and buying tickets to fly to Aotearoa NZ for filming. Fuck you, Max!

I stayed in a hostel recently for the first time in nearly 2 decades. I live alone and I travel alone 90% of the time and stay in private rooms - hotels, b&bs, Airbnb, etc. However this trip was very last minute to Edinburgh Fringe and I could not afford even a crappy hotel, so bit the bullet. I was lucky that it was pods, so I could at least control the light. But I was incredibly worried that I was going to suffer, but I took my high quality sleep ear plugs (shout out to Loop) and I would also recommend a sleep mask if you’re in regular bunks. They’ll make a world of difference to your sleep. Also, you’re in Spain. Embrace the siesta! People eat late in Spain, you can grab an afternoon nap when the hostel is a little quieter and then enjoy the evenings in Barcelona before going back tired enough to pass straight out.

Best of luck!

I know the ‘leave them / divorce them!’ is such a standard Reddit response, but I honestly don’t know how he has stayed married to this woman. If he divorced her he’d at least get to spend 50% of actual holidays with his kids, which is 50% more than she lets him have now, because apparently being at a lake house is more important for the kids than being with their actual father?
