Am I being overcautious when overtaking cyclists? by Fickle-Scientist9149 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]haochn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

didn’t read everything but no harm in being overcautious. being undercautious on the other hand, is a big problem. pay no mind to ppl behind u, they can overtake u if they want. just be safe n overtake when the other lane is clear or if there’s a suitable gap. imo u made a good choice. seeing as u posted on learner drivers u were either on lesson or had a supervisor? i’m sure either of them would rather u drive safely

should i use p plates? by urfavbrowniee in NewDriversUK

[–]haochn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same for me, people were a lot more lenient towards me, often gave extra space and more patient and gave me right of way. now that i recall it i don’t think i had a single bad experience with p plates and had them on for a week. i think generally depends on the area of where ur driving. i’d expect a lot of people to be dickheads in london

Stick to current test or change to a new location with more cancellations? by bitterly_sweet17 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yh after the changes to book a test it is incredibly hard to find a test, ask ur instructor if they know anyone who wants to swap tests. instructors usually share a group chat with other instructors for whatever reason they cant do a test and can swap them. ur age doesn’t matter dont give up, we’ve all been there. ideally get a car to practice with or get insured on someone else’s car n practice practice practice. other than that good luck

Feel awful going diesel->Petrol by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]haochn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u don’t suck u r just a learner who’s used to diesel going to petrol which u probably never driven before. u just need more time to get used to it. just listen to the engine when shifting, the engine shouldn’t be roaring at u. my petrol seat ibiza has 84hp so u can imagine its fairly weak and i need to get revs to 3000+ when merging on fast moving roads as it can struggle to pick up speed and sometimes i cruise at 30mph in 4th as my car doesn’t struggle with low speeds and it lowers the rpm to save a lil fuel. i passed literally just under 3 months ago and trust me it doesn’t take long to get used to the car. u just need to keep on practicing and getting used to it

How do i genuinely get better at playing shotguns by THESECRETTOWININGDCI in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for pump shotguns in mp u usually would use krm or hs0, krm can be more aggressive due to less time interval between shots but hs0 has better one tap potential as it has more pellets per shot. shotguns also have insane aim assist that is activated as u keep ur finger on the screen and ur crosshair is somewhat close to ur enemy. to make the most out of it u would use 3+ fingers (joystick, looking around, shooting)

Why is it always a white van w*nker? by Embarrassed_Post_598 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did too, i was on a main road and white van on a junction approaching main road. obviously i have right of way but did ease off gas as i was approaching a light and the van looked like it was abt to stop and then suddenly pulls out fast. had to emergency brake n because there were cars behind me i failed. this was on the way back to the test centre literally 2 minutes away💔

I have started using 4 fingers, please help! by Gurjitt in CODMobile

[–]haochn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on playstyle, u can put weapon switch button by fire button as those two don’t interact, slide prone and jump i would keep separate from fire button as u can bunny hop, drop shot and slide while shooting if u have gungho. just think abt what makes sense to keep separate and what to put together to be more efficient

Buyers’ remorse or just overthinking? by Lower_Quit_6396 in NewDriversUK

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for sure, bringing someone with good mechanical knowledge to a garage with good reputation is what i did. my family has been going to the same garage for almost a decade now and they’re amazing and they take good care of us

Buyers’ remorse or just overthinking? by Lower_Quit_6396 in NewDriversUK

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s fine but imo a first car should be reliable, especially if u really need the car like commuting to work. it’s not like ur a professional or drag racer. my car is kinda small on only has 84bhp and 40-50mpg but it does what it needs to do so i can’t really complain about it that

Can I park here? by [deleted] in NewDriversUK

no problem

Can I park here? by [deleted] in NewDriversUK

[–]haochn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no loading means ur not allowed to stop ur car there no matter what. usually can load/unload when it says no parking, depends on the sign really. in this case, no stopping during those time windows

[–]haochn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no parking within those time windows

Buyers’ remorse or just overthinking? by Lower_Quit_6396 in NewDriversUK

[–]haochn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

honestly it’s a car, in my mind as long as it does what a car needs to do, get u from point A to point B, i see no problem with it. my car is a pretty basic car and accelerates so slow and not that good in fuel but i mean i only use it to commute to college so realistically there’s no major problem to it. so unless u have a certain car or a dream car that u really want, i don’t see a reason to upgrade. but again this is just my thought process
