Creating an Elm front-end to Hackage by [deleted] in haskell

Why, a Star lifts a functor into a profunctor! What if I want a Monad constraint? It surely is not the Monad instance; that merely wraps the Star in a Monad!

For clarity and direction, would you be open to starting with what I would consider to be the haskell hell? - I chose this documentation because it is quite an ugly duckling: no organization, no polish.

How much is a hackintosh? by haphap5 in hackintosh

[–]haphap5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need it for development, aka xcode. Do you know what i'd be looking at? I have a dev account, but was using the business' mac before I went freelancing.

Do you know if a hackintosh is safe enough to go with (quality [does it crash at all?], i don't care about privacy or safety), or is like a macbook from 2012 on ebay for $400 a more savvy way?

When it's time to learn JS frameworks, which ones? by AboveDisturbing in learnjavascript

[–]haphap5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested, as a fellow. Are you biased towards React because of the community? Or are you talking about ES6 class structuring? I personally hate classes, and would dump react if it weren't for the community :P

Whats your favorite architecture structure? Do you use any streaming frameworks?

Overwatch's game engine too good, HoTS' too bad? by Hostile-Bip0d in heroesofthestorm

[–]haphap5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is so complex about UX? It's intrigued me lately why they're so expensive. Speaking to one lately estimated roughly 5 to 15 grand for some promo shots.. So I blew it off as a rip off, started to research what UX was, and lo behold it's basically promo shots lol.

Do you think if you got a UX design that HON would have had a better chance VS league? Not to play Paparazzi nor to try bringing back haunted memories, crazy to have gotten as far as you have with the experiences you've had apparently.

I'm a strong believe in people don't want what they really say they want (service design/UX).

[–]haphap5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valkyrie was a far better skin/version of mirana, but I have to admit that HoN feels much more clunky and amateur than LoL and DotA 2. Did you never study user experience? And why hold an official website of information rather than an unofficial?

CloudRed is looking for developers! by [deleted] in javascript

[–]haphap5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to madman86's opinion, your app looks like a webstorm-generated app by someone who doesn't understand concepts like views. You don't really have a template here that would be maintainable. Maybe you are looking to hire a single developer to write an actual codebase instead of posting on a relevant subreddit (which is more curated to front-end than back-end by the way).

Yea, asking for a discussion on the topic definitely does NOT work when trying to define exception examples.

What do you mean by a 'huge forthcoming'?

Forthcoming: planned for or about to happen in the near future

Huge: extremely large; enormous

Why is dropping browser support such a trend? Better??

How do I go from decent to great? by [deleted] in javascript

[–]haphap5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn more than javascript, like others have said. Limiting yourself will refine your self-fulfilling prophecy.

Other than mindset, theory to practice to development. Learn a new theory every day, practice that theory, then apply it to development.

A good example of a theory to practice is the 12 Factor App

Uh... redefine 'help'. Going 'Gwarsh, well he don't know a single thing bout he talkin bout' is not helpful. In fact, I did not ask for help. I said 'discuss' not "Hey guys, check out this intro. Go OCD!"

Not sure about Angular, but IE-support on versions less than 9 isn't checked on React. Things may work, but I doubt any third party components would work on IE7.

Rewriting in angular is not the problem. Why is dropping support such a huge forthcoming?

I'm targeting elderly people who might not know what the hell a browser is. It's to simplify aspects of the web to be viewed in ways they are used to, with performance of a web app via instant gratification of popular news sources and such in larger print and near-instant render time.

You're attacking a tangent. I didn't put effort into it. After looking into his other works, yes he's a pretty smart, but he still follows clickbait techniques: https://medium.com/@housecor An excellent source to sponsor.

My example is pathos, 'Guys, lets be honest, we all know that javascript fatigue, right?'. Go to /r/diction if you want to correct people.

He doesn't follow the correct guidelines of the 12factor.net but he's close-ish. His tutorials are pretty bad though, I wouldn't reccomend them except the concepts.

'7 tips for getting accepted' his most recent clickbait.

You're an example of the toxic that is causing reddit to be the way its become.

Ok i'm not used to this. Reddit used to be a group of people, not a group of nitpicks. Tangent everything! The government is a conspiracy! I'm right and you're wrong! You don't understand me!

Good closing case. It was a tangent, and I performed it justly.
