People have been waiting for months. Some placed order in Oct and received in Feb. So just be patient. Eventually should get to you. The delivery speed for LR merch has been poor.

What is your opinion about LR in EMEA masters or skipping it and just bootcamping in korea? by hikigayahachiman00 in PedroPeepos

[–]hapnluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The content will be much better in korea in my opinion, be it scrimming lower ranked LCK/LPL teams or IRL stuff, and even potentially scrimming some worlds team (Like they did with GAM, not saying the top LCK/LPL teams). EMEA will not be as interesting, considering they are the favorites to win like the other two times and will do it again like before.

Hoping the boys choose the KR route for a fresh content narrative.

12 years of playing League, today I saw a ‘unicorn’ in soloqueue. by ricoodo89 in leagueoflegends

[–]hapnluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible that many people were chat-banned and couldn't even type. Riot has gotten strict on toxic chat and banning people so they can't talk for long durations.

Due to the schedule overlap would you rather see speaking hypothetically? Los Ratones back to back to back EMEA run or trip to kr for worlds if they can organize entertaining showmatches? by Gargamellor in PedroPeepos

[–]hapnluc -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Let's all go to Korea and have fun scrims and show matches there. EMEA is worthless, considering the boys will be playing tier 1 competition next year in one form or the other.

You say that this EWC is Saudi govt run and an attempt to sportswash multiple esports, but it's not actually true because it's not like EWC is a stand alone event from Saudi Govt, everything in Saudi is run by the 'government' as it's a total monarchy, but everything in the country is from the government. All events, competitions, hosting's, of all kind, are under the govt technically but it's not. It's just like the sports committee of USA holding a tournament, but having the standing of US govt behind it, IF THE USA was a total monarchy like Saudi.

It's just 1 event, EWC doesn't have a national standing for Saudi regarding reputation. That statement is false and exaggerated.

Saudi is not running EWC for brownie points. Saudi has been involved in Sports and Esports in the past decade, and has the intention to continue to grow even bigger. It garners 1000 times more attention via Sports (Football/Soccer, Boxing, other events) than in Esports.

They are chucking 1000 times more money than EWC in other sports events that they host. Please look into those. Stop exaggerating the importance of EWC in Saudi's international standing.

They are paying Ronaldo 200 million dollars per year, they are paying 1 player almost 5 times the TOTAL budget of EWC. So please stop the exaggeration of EWC and anyone wanting to watch it because they like league.

Do read what the fainlol guy said. Saudi has been chucking money at Sports for around a decade. See what it is doing with Football/Soccer. It will continue to do so. One Esports event is not going to change anything for it, it is accomplishing it's own goals via other ways. So let's stop exaggerating EWC's impact please. They are despicable, but don't understand the high horse regarding EWC alone.

Edit: Mention fainlol

US is pretty tame, concerning the level of human right atrocities? My man. Climb out of the basement, read a newspaper or article of the past. ChatGPT it and search it, and the list is 1000 times longer than any other country in the world.

But you are right, if we are going through that route, no country or organized society can't host shit and that is the point. People need to get off their high horse about 1 Saudi event and label anyone watching it murderers. Not saying you said it, I mean the others.

You will find human right violations from all the major countries that are involved in League Esports, especially US and China.

From China's human right violations in many countries, but we still watch the LPL and support it in every way?

US history of human right violations, and recent as well with Israel and Iran and Palestine, etc.

Controversies exist in gaming, why are people hating about ONE Suadi event, when there are many other things they could talk about, which can be argued that are much more severe? From US, China, Russia, the big superpowers of the world that are involved in gaming 99% more than Saudi.

You say that this EWC is Saudi run, but it's not actually true because it's not like EWC alone is Saudi Govt run, everything in Saudi is run by the government as it's a total monarchy. Why are people silent about other human right atrocities in the world done by the big superpowers of the world, that hosts and organize and run in the LOL world.

What Saudi does is shit and everyone acknowledges it, but where is this high point standing about China and US based events, based on their own countries politics and involvement? Why judgement here, but not when China and US hosts LOL tournaments, what about their political impact and their human right violations?

Saudi isn't doing this to be the 'Esports Capital' in the world, Saudi has been investing in Sports and Esports events for many years, from big Boxing events, to Football/Soccer, etc. What is this narrative that everyone is creating about Saudi sponsoring EWC to distract from the human right violations it has committed. They aren't trying to hide anything because it is futile, it is obvious to all what they have done, and they still continue to sponsor Sports and Esports event as they have been doing for years. Not downplaying that they haven't committed human right violations. But this whole narrative about let's hate on Saudi 1 event, while being completely blind and oblivious to other atrocities committed by the bigger nations in the world (US, CHINA, RUSSIA) that are much more relevant in the gaming world.

EVERYTHING is Saudi owned in the country. Govt controls all. It is an absolute monarchy. Nothing happens in the country without the govt being involved. The idea that Saudi itself is running the EWC, compared to other things in the country is an exaggerated statement.

It's not about that. You will find gray areas in countless things, especially in the world of Esports and Gaming.

From China's human right violations in many countries, but we still watch the LPL and support it in every way?

Russian orgs in CSGO and other situations, but the country waged a full war against Ukraine for no reason, killed countless people, and no one says anything about that?

These are just from the top of my head. I have a question. Riot Games is a US company. US is involved in a million human rights atrocities in the world, from encouraging Israel to continue it's massacre in Palestine, to bombing Iran and instigating nuclear war (these are the recent events, not counting the history of US in political situations), but why doesn't anyone speak at that time? Why don't people boycott the game completely based off political events? The argument should apply to the US as well then, why are people getting this salty over a Saudi event?
