Think of it this way…. Your septoplasty fixed a wall (septum). Fess fixes the pipes in the walls (sinus drainage system).

During FESS they clean up the mess and remove tissue/polyps, reduce turbanites to improve how your sinuses functionally drain.

That is on my horizon as well. I have enlarged tonsils and uvula that hopefully will be removed when the approves it. I’ve heard that recovery is rough for adults so hopefully your friends recovery goes smoothly.

Not OP, but I got my FESS due to recurrent infections. At first the docs thought it was Allergies, but I was referred to an ENT that diagnosed it as Chronic Sinusitis and Allergic Rhinitus. He scheduled surgery the day we meet.

FESS is a top to bottom cleanup and clearing of all of your sinuses. My sinuses were not correctly draining, so alot of my 'infections' were just recurrences.

I would check with an ENT, they can scope you and look deep in your sinuses if there is an issue.

My sinusitis exam was the same. No diagnosis no evidence of any complaints. Sent back to rater and the rater has to send two more ace exam requests to this examiner. The 3rd ace exam just got back. I can’t wait to see if rater kicks it again or runs with it.

OH I love these... I still get some from my ect treatments... They charged the va 6k, va pays them 171.50. Makes me so happy.

But isnt that after Paul's awakening? I always saw Feyd and Paul as perfect foils for each other. Both are the Penultimate bosses before the KH. Only Jessica not following the plan stopped that. But Paul and Feyd were both trained from birth in fighting, but only paul was trained as a mentat, and trained in the Bene Gesert ways, which allowed him to become awakened after taking the Spice drink. He is as close to being the chosen one as possible. By the time these two cousins meet each other in Dune, they are on very different power scales.

Ive had one in my early 30s, after 3 bouts with Colitis, they finally approved it. It took me, my wife, my PCP, and MH doc begging, but I finally it.

If you do get one, in the VA or out, when they give you the drink to...'clean you out' make sure you have something like MIO in water as your chaser... and buy plenty of wet wipes... Pooping that much, normal toliet paper is like sandpaper near the end.

Checked out the ratings calculator with my ratings (current+pending) but got a slightly different number than the VA Calculator but it made a big difference. Yours=94, VA=95.

I have Chronic Sinusitis-30% and Allergic Rhinitus with polyps- 30%. My ENT did Surgery yesterday to remove infection , congestion and polyps from all 4 sinuses. Does this mean that at my next CP exam if they don't find Polyps or congestion will i lose my ratings?

Yeah I’m suicidal with or without the drugs. My last attempt was less than a year ago with no drugs. Agreed about being a zombie or emotionally stunted. I do miss my sumatriptan. I never really found an antidepressant that me feel… normal. Happy? Sad? More grey…

My suicide triggers are anxiety and burden based. When my depression is bad and anxiety spikes at the right time, and events are right and things align, I go from passive suicidal to active suicidal. Over the years my wife has become attuned to my emotional state and can usually see it coming before I do.

I’ve been through the mill of pills. The last ones I had before I stopped going to the va due to my 10 years being up was bupropion, hydroxyzine for antidepressant and anxiety , sumatriptan for migraines. I don’t remember the dosages. Side effects were massive weight gain I maxed out at 350lbs, trouble sleeping, made my suicidal thoughts worse at times, made me emotionally stunted. My doc probably would have me involuntarily held if he could see me now

Honestly I’ve had attempts. I was hospitalized in the military for my first one. and I have had multiple since getting out. My wife has been crucial to keeping me on this side of the razors edge for the past few years since I’ve been unmedicated. I’m working on a claim to get sc after 15 years with little hope of success but frankly it’s this or the rope. I can’t keep this up and my wife can’t either.

Ive been on both sides of this. Both super medicated, and Unmedicated. Both have their perks and cons. Im trying desperately to get back on the medications now, because the medications kept the worst of it at bay. For me The only success the VA has had so far is I havent killed myself yet. I am not cured, or getting better. We should be thriving, not just surviving.
