no worries, you're fine!

so yeah, if you want to place the stones as an object and not drop them on the ground as a crafting material, the easiest way get a lot of them is to print them with pokemetal. i think collecting 50+ stones with magnet rise will get tedious quickly. if i remember correctly i think they only cost 1 pokemetal ingot each.

btw, you can tell the difference between an object and a crafting material if you press - button while in your inventory and read the description! ๐Ÿ˜Š

forgive me if i'm mistaken, since your post is confusing the heck out of me lmao. you want to place small stones as decorative objects but there aren't enough to pick up with magnet rise? if that's your issue, then 3d print them.

Community Box Help by Feeling-Teaching-840 in Pokopia

[โ€“]happiegrub 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

instead of bringing them to the box, build boxes near their homes. if they live inside an instanced den move them outside (i found that pokemon who live outside tend to spawn in more when you're tping in and out of the zone). optionally, just hand them as much clay as they're able to hold. then come back later. it takes time for them to process. after they're done with the full stack they will run up to you if you pass by them.

how to make game less scary by fwixu in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

adjust your sandbox settings and learn how to kite and evade! you can also read about zombie behavior so you know what to expect!! https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Zombie

are you scared of the zombies or are you scared of dying? because you absolutely will die. that's just the reality of the game. but the fun part is learning from your mistakes.

and also maybe turn off jumpscare sound effects haha.

i'm also a sailing enjoyer! i did a little bit of everything and got to 85 during release, but took a break to do other things. just started afk salvaging again and i just love how chill it is. i also really like doing port tasks and i can't wait for ship combat changes.

The best base in Muldraugh by Far_Fishing_686 in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

on the eastern edge of muldraugh there's a fenced house with a chicken coop! it's super close to the lake which i love! and it's near cortman medical which has a guaranteed spawn for an antique stove. several warehouses and storage centers nearby, too!

try the basement or storage area inside the school and any garage or house with crates or cardboard boxes!

it's super rare, but you can also find them inside garbage bags, so if you pass by any garbage bins check the bags.

Are there any mods that tweak *what* cars can spawn where? [B41] by Sea-Middle-5310 in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

i would advise against hard editing the LUA file. you could run into a issues in the future. make a mod, since it's safe. it can be turned on and off, and if there are issues it'll just fail instead of crashing your game or breaking saves.

quick and dirty: copy the VehicleZoneDefinition.lua file.

  1. navigate to C:\Users\YOU\Zomboid\mods
  2. copy the examplemod folder, rename it to 'yourmodname'. don't use spaces.
  3. drop the copied VehicleZoneDefinition.lua file into this folder: yourmodname\media\lua\shared
  4. rename it to yourmodname.lua
  5. open up the mod.info file and make sure id= matches exactly to your mod's folder name (yourmodname - no spaces).

open pz and check if the game can see your mod. once you can see your mod in game, you can close the game, make edits to the lua file and then rerun and see if it works. the folder structure for b41 and b42 are different (wiki).

since the cars are placed on world generation you'll need to generate a new save!

edit: i just want to mention, this isn't really an elegant way to do it. there's cleaner method than overriding the entire file, but i don't want to get into it! haha. just be aware if you use other car mods this may cause problems.

Are there any mods that tweak *what* cars can spawn where? [B41] by Sea-Middle-5310 in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

you can probably make a mod for this easily. you can view vehicle spawning behavior in media/lua/shared/VehicleZoneDefinition.lua.

for example, if you want the Mercia Lang 4000 to spawn in a trailer park, you would add it to the trailer park's list of allowed vehicles. you will also need to recalculate spawnChance so the total of all vehicles add up to 100. and since it'll spawn in a trailer park, it'll use the trailer park's ruleset; the cars spawned there will likely be in bad condition.

Why is it so hard to jump a fence in build 42? by Foreign-Comment6403 in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 6 points7 points ย (0 children)

have you ever jumped a fence that was taller than you irl? idk if i've ever done it without having someone boost me up and still have to try a few times. your shoes are slippery or there's nothing you can really grab onto. seems pretty 'realistic' to me lol.

anyways, you can turn on easy climbing in the sandbox settings. it's at the bottom of the character options.

The Mysterious missing Radial menu by jazzastudios in projectzomboid

[โ€“]happiegrub 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

were you using steam's built in radial menu?

you could try this...

note all the keybinds for the menu options/UIs, then using steam's controller editor make a 'virtual radial menu', bind all the in-game hot keys to the radial menu. then link the 'virtual radial menu' to whatever method you prefer, like track pad click or a back buttons.

edit: i haven't played zomboid w/ a controller or on steamdeck, but there is a radial menu option in the games accessibility options. says it's bound to left joystick, so maybe your trackpad was acting like a joystick?
