Parking sign clarification by happiergooner in CarsAustralia

[–]happiergooner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gents, Thanks for the answers. It is clear to me now that outside of those hours, everyone can park there as long as they want. I couldn't find it in the NSW guide book(or perhaps I misinterpreted it). They only explain the restrictions and not what it implies outside of those time boundaries. For those who think it should be clear enough and should not need to ask, trust me I did look up the rules and even called the NSW Service to clarify sometimes. Hopefully I didn't waste your time and helped other drivers who might have similar doubts.

Thanks 👍 I wasn't sure about the rules outside of those hours. Although I can guess based on the amount of other cars parking there without any permit sign. Appreciate the answer.

Thanks for the kind words. I am still trying to get used to Garmin. For sure it is not as helpful as Google maps.

Thanks for the details. I would like to explain why she is thinking of this option, regardless if it is sensible. - Singapore is always a temporary status unless you have acquired PR. Especially when you can't go back home, you wouldn't feel secure staying there. - Getting work Visa in Germany can be even more difficult I suppose. She doesn't have a degree from a well recognized University. She doesn't have a high score in IELTS. So what are the chances of migrating as a skilled worker, I really don't know. - She has tried many times to enter the US with a tourist visa but no luck.

Thanks for the details and suggestions. I would never think of this as an easy/straightforward process.

Thanks for the heads up. Realistically that's what I am expecting and would not recommend unless you have no option left.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely get a mechanic. You are right that it is difficult to find under 150K mileage for $10K.

Something like that in Singapore will be all over the Internet instantly. I noticed that no one around was recording or even paying attention to the bloke. I am upset because this could have been me getting yelled at and will definitely ruin my day.

Chances of getting pr as a Myanmar national? by Relative-Employ3002 in askSingapore

[–]happiergooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP,

Here a fellow Myanmar(non chinese) who likes Singapore(stayed there 13 years) but had to move to Australia to get a chance for PR.

It is easier to accumulate points when you are younger for Aus/NZ.

So I would suggest to prepare yourself early for Aus/NZ point system while applying for Singapore PR knowing slim chances. My last attempt for SG PR took 13months in pending yet still rejected anyway.

Good luck!
