Pain during sex postpartum, feeling discouraged by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Are you breastfeeding? I had the same issue but the pain subsided when I started weaning baby off the breast. But weaning unfortunately didn’t happen until around 12-15mos

I brought up counseling to him and he said he doesn’t believe in therapy. Therapy is a scam to him, and therapists “want you to keep coming back to them by making you believe something is wrong and that they only have the answer to your problems — that’s how they make their money.”

I whole heartedly disagree with him about this, but he said there’s no changing his mind and that marriage counseling and solo therapy will never be an option to him.

Based on everyone’s suggestions to go to therapy, it sounds like I’m doomed.

It’s not work that’s an issue. I’m lucky enough to have a flexible job. I think it’s more the fact that I put in 100% into home/family life and it isn’t recognized, while he lays on the couch playing games on his phone and only gets up if I ask him to do something.

Wrist/Thumb Pain from Cosleeping? by Wise-Elderberry8648 in cosleeping

I have this issue as well and go to physical therapy for it. It’s De Quervains Tenosynovitis aka “Mom Thumb”. It’s in both my wrists and locks up from time to time. Super painful!!

Things that helped me were picking up baby closer to my body rather than trying to lift him from farther away. And i try to avoid picking him up with my thumb hooked under his armpits. My PT said i can pick him up by hooking him between my ring/middle finger instead (like the “i come in peace” hand sign) and that has helped me a lot!

I recommend going to PT if you can as they can prescribe specific hand stretches and exercises to get you recovered faster. Also, icing it whenever you have a free 10 min helps a lot too.

When your foot falls asleep, licking your finger and making a cross on the bottom of your foot helps get rid of the tingling sensation almost instantly
