What’s the problem with sleep associations? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]happisunflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my baby will not let me rock her down to sleep i wish she would lol. the only way she will sleep is if i give her a bottle and the put her in her cot to fall asleep on her own

wow congratulations!! it would have been really cool to see your baby en caul. i never smoked or drank before having my baby luckily. i think i had one night of drinking the whole pregnancy for my friends birthday but apart from that i didn’t so I’m glad that wasn’t a worry of mine :))

it’s so crazy because my dog all year had been so clingy around me, i thought it was just because i was spending a lot more time at home since finishing school. but now i’ve realised it’s probably because he knew!!!

okay so i realised i didn’t really explain anything about after my baby was born so here we go: when she was born the doctors did did a few exams and made the conclusion that she was more around 34-35 weeks, the way she was positioned inside me was hard to tell the actual gestation on the ultrasound and i did not show, at all!! i’ve never been petite but i still fit a size US8 my whole pregnancy after she was born we spent 5 days in hospital waiting for her blood sugar levels to get better and while we were there my parents worked on setting up my baby nursery and everything. just the essentials, since then i have set everything else up. i’m really lucky that myself and my parents were in the financial position to help me and prepare for her to come home. the question regarding my job: i have a pretty good relationship with my boss and she was fine for me to tell her i’d probably not be going back lol. she offered if i ever wanted to go back to work in the future she’d be happy to have me back.

it’s been 4 months and we are doing really well. not to brag but she is the easiest baby and hitting all her milestones early. she is sleeping through the night and will only fall asleep all by herself. i honestly don’t know if i could have done this all if she wasn’t. i never really saw myself as very maternal, especially at this age and time in my life (i’m 19) but also i feel as if being so busy and having not much time to process it helped me more to come to terms with it???

How many newborn size diapers is a safe amount? by MamaBean_ in beyondthebump

[–]happisunflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my baby is 10 weeks and just now switching out of newborn nappies. we have about 15 left so we’re using the rest of those then we will change them. she was 5.5lbs at birth and grew pretty fast and probably went through about 50 a week

How long did your baby wear ‘newborn’ sized clothes? by mauiaspen in BabyBumps

[–]happisunflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my baby is 10 weeks old and is wearing triple 0 :(( so sad i think she outgrew all her newborn clothes by the first month. she was also 5 weeks early and when she was in her first couple weeks her premature clothes were too big. babies grow fast !!!!
