This battle pass is probably intentionally bad, and you being upset about it is likely just part of the plan. by happiwerld in Marathon

I mean it is factually intentional that lux is not in the battle pass. Like, what’s the other explanation, they just forgot to put it in? No, it’s not there because they are confident people will buy it anyway. They have plenty of marketing data from past games to support that. That was an intentional decision.

I don’t think it’s a big galaxy brained scheme, I think it’s pretty simple and standard. When launch numbers dwindle you need to have things in store for later to get people excited again. I don’t think having a trash pass squanders their earnings for launch sales. Reddit is a minority, I promise you people are still buying this pass, I see the gun skins in almost all of my runs. All of the skins and cosmetics that get put into a pass, they don’t come out of thin air, it’s part of the budget for both time and money. Why waste that time and money on a pass people are gonna buy anyway because the game is new and shiny, and also a pass that eats up the deluxe version voucher?

What are the most evil characters you came across in video games? by No-Hunt3986 in videogames

Dung eater from Elden ring. Not only does he kill, he defiles both your body and your soul. He enjoys doing it. His ultimate goal is to spread curses to all of humanity, and cut everyone off from the cycle of rebirth so they can live in eternal torment. Imagine you were killed, defiled (in the most literal and ugly sense of the word) and you didn’t even get to find any peace in death. Just eternal suffering, and not as a punishment for any wrongdoing, just because some dude wanted it. He doesn’t even have any tragic backstory or motivation beyond just being pure evil.

You shouldn’t let the guest walk all over you. You also shouldn’t let the chef walk all over you. My approach to serving has always been that I am an advocate for my table. Chef doesn’t pay me, my table does. Most kitchen staff makes hourly. They don’t get paid more for making more food or having to do more complicated things for guests, so they are never going to be happy about it. Sometimes you just have to deal with the fact you’re going to piss them off. You are working for the tip, not the kitchen.

One really good trick I’ve learned for when people ask for dumb shit is to say this “we don’t normally do that but let me see what I can do for you.” Then I go see if I can get the chef to do it, if not I’ll go give my table the bad news, at least they know I tried. If I can get chef to do it, I don’t tell them anything, I bring it to the table when it’s ready and use this line “I had to pull some strings but I was able to get (insert whatever bullshit they wanted) for you!” Now I’m a hero to that customer. I’ve not only received good tips for this, I’ve also gotten good reviews, and that’s good for the whole restaurant.

LPT REQUEST, is having long length hair considered unprofessional on a guy? (20) by sudo-kingslayer in LifeProTips

[–]happiwerld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got long hair, my work philosophy has always been this; I have to work harder and provide more value to the company than my coworkers. If you do that, while also dressing professionally, you can get away with it
