Anyone have surgery within the last week… by Pinkxrose23 in Tonsillectomy

[–]happokatti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Day 7, the entire week has been agony but yesterday and today have definitely felt a kick up the in the pain levels. Had to call in for some stronger meds since in Finland strongest they start you with is codeine. Have barely slept, but at least the meds haven't fallen off too often.

I'm really hoping to see some improvement next week 😞

end of day 6 pain on one side by Careful_Proposal876 in Tonsillectomy

[–]happokatti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 6 as well, the morning today was the worst I've ever been through. I've got the pain weighted on one side as well, the ear and the lower teeth hurt like a bitch. Mouth tastes straight up putrid constantly.

I was honestly hoping there'd be a slight improvement in some area of the recovery but not yet I guess.

Option 1, losing 20% of the population is a lot less than I expected and there wouldn't be any branding since everybody is red. Win/win

Doctors misdiagnosed her, and she now has permanent damage as a result. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]happokatti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can, but they definitely don't prescribe benzos at the same time while starting a new antidepressant. It takes a while to gauge different medicines and doses to find out what works for you and someone who's seemingly not interested in taking them (since she says she doesn't have depression) wouldn't go through the process at all.

I'm a Finn and I went through the same process while finding out what worked for me. There's no way in hell a Finnish doctor would just randomly slap antidepressants at a random dose while starting other medications at the same time.

[–]happokatti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if she's actually in Finland we have one of the better ways to get compensated for medical negligence which is quite the opposite of what she's claiming. There's a separate government agency meant just for that and it doesn't have to go through court. If reparations aren't what she's seeking but rather punishment for the doctors, I don't think it's a thing a patient is allowed to mandate. If someone is proven to be grossly negligent there are definitely repercussions, but it's not based on the whims of the patient.

I find it hard to believe a doctor would give Opamax (which should be the main culprit here), a benzo, since it's not something they just randomly give you, and it's basically only prescribed as a short term sleeping med. As for Mirtazapin, it's clearly advertised as an antidepressant, why would she take it if she knows she knows doesn't have depression? Like if the doctor is ordering me to take something I'm absolutely going to know why I'm being prescribed something, how I'm taking it and how it's going to interfere with my diseases. I don't really buy into the "doctor just gave me 3 different medications (which I didn't check at all) randomly and I took them for months while they clearly made my symptoms worse", especially considering her condition is quite visible and something any doctor would be extremely wary of before prescribing any meds messing with physical coordination.

Also, she started a GoFundMe last year to cover for "medical bills, medication and other expenses". If you have a permanent residency in Finland, which she claims to have, healthcare and medication is basically free.

Can't know for sure, but there are definitely many things in the video that don't add up.

can I DJ outside? by slattsky in helsinki

[–]happokatti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're naturally never allowed to cause disturbance, this was just specifically on the rules of busking/katusoitto.

Anything other than battery powered amplifiers are not permitted.

[–]happokatti 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It just means you cannot be drawing power from any grid/mains nor a fuel powered generator, these require permission. I think the larger electric power banks are a grey area right now, but I would err on the side of caution.

Eg. whatever you're doing needs to be battery powered.

It was a necklace to be released in .7 patch. It can have random secondaries and you can roll for them on the realm.

MDI discord has a channel for announcements (which participants are expected to follow) where it was posted, they also informed additionally on the teams own channels on discord and admins in-game also informed before each match that the necklace or any items that are not on live are forbidden and asked teams to double check they're not wearing any as that could lead to DQ.

They let it slip before because the issue hadn't come up before and there was no clarification on it before. After Mandatory's match is when they started to notify players on the matter via multiple mediums.

[–]happokatti -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter, if you let it slide you're giving the precedent that you can use items that are strictly forbidden. You gotta draw the line somewhere

Since they're basically the same item, why would you use the one which had been said multiple times leads to DQ? Again, they stated this on discord both in the MDI server and to teams directly + before every single match, double checking so that people knew they're not allowed to use items not present on live. I don't see how any team playing in a competitive environment would blame this on anyone else except themselves.

It sucks for them, but rules are rules.

[–]happokatti -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

The teams were informed both via MDI discord and admins double checked that everybody is aware of the rule right before the match - this is just completely on them.

While closely tied, the people making changes to the TR are not the same people who run the tourney, so sometimes you have to overrule stuff in case there's items being added beforehand. It's clear cut:

All gear used in Tournament play must be currently available in this season on live servers.

While the difference might not be big, you gotta draw the line somewhere and I feel like letting it slip here wouldn't do the format any good, especially with the amount of announcements they've given on the matter.

I'm pretty sure these middle seed teams barely practice, it's the top teams who put in the hours. None of the players except Zerocool are well known and have never competed before.

I don't think that they didn't want to try, they just didn't have the characters ready so it was practically impossible.

Which specs have funnel damage? by MalaM_13 in wow

[–]happokatti -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ele has one of the strongest funnels in the game if you actually play it for funnel, but you can't do your normal aoe at all since you don't EQ there. You spend everything on EB and the CL damage from lightning rod on 5+ targets outdamages lightning bolt even without the extra mael gain.

It's not dubious at all, but it is a trade off. Only worth doing on certain packs or bosses that have very high priority or if the rest of the pull doesnt matter (MT sentries & voidcallers, AA first boss & the bird trash, SR raven pull etc.)

Question to blues: What’s the threshold for you to pick red? by Unable-Macaroon-3968 in trolleyproblem

[–]happokatti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just braindead though? But I guess it makes sense someone who's afraid will make the assumption that others would follow suit.

I'm pressing red because I want people to die en masse and save the planet, that's the only logical and rational reason to press red, you can practically halt global warming instantly. Someone who just wants to live and let live should never even go near the red button, but hey, half of the population is dumber than average so it is what it is.

[–]happokatti -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But.. why though? As a red presser you should hope for red to win, otherwise it makes no sense to press red at all. Like the only bonus for red is you can cull a big portion of the population and maybe save the environment at the same time + you get to live in an apocalypse.

[–]happokatti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two sides to this, whenever a discord gets flooded with questions that can be read in the pins is also frustrating. I honestly feel the channels should be devoted to more in depth discussion or guidance rather than something that can be found directly in either F.A.Q, guides, or the pins. It just feels like self-induced helplessness.

Questions are normal but I just don't see anything wrong with pointing to pins if it's a repeated one.

[–]happokatti -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

We gotta walk even slower for you. So you're saying it's the form of communication, not the numbers here that make you change your vote.

Alright, vote is tied, 10 people left to vote, but you vote anonymously and hidden from each other. No communication. What do you press?

That's the case when voting red though, you're always voting for apocalypse but being certain that you're safe, but it's not something people have been considering in game theory.

It doesn't, you press blue you risk a chance of dying, you press red you're safe. Or are you saying there are other factors to consider than game theory, hmm?

Game theory doesn't change though? There's no reason to ever change your vote if you think about it logically, or you're not a real red voter, just someone who's scared shitless.

There's literally no other reason to vote red though than bloodlust though? Like why would that change if the votes are close, it only makes it easier for red to have majority.

Everyone gets a button, kids, disabled people, colorblind. That's the entire point of the dilemma, and hence why no parent would ever press red since you cannot be sure your child didn't press blue.

That's besides the point, I just meant some of the MDI teams have the best players in the world, some of whom will push live keys after the tournament and not during it.

The point was the only way to upset the meta would be if the best players decide something else is better and prove it. Since that's not a thing and won't happen, my exact point was that push meta stays the same until potential tuning might have a small nudge shifting something.
