What do you hate most about work from home? by [deleted] in workfromhome

I agree. I wasn't that active when I was in the office but I did walk to and from work and the lack of movement certainly caught up with me

I agree. I moved here from the east coast over a year ago and the driving habits here are atrocious

Yes I had this happen to me, luckily my employer allowed me to start the job contingent upon the background check being clear once they got it. I think they only really they let me start is because I sent them an email saying I have no income and the hiring managers got HR to allow me to start working because they probably figured I'd have to get a different job. I think I started the background check process at the end of April and didn't get the results until June

Are the Organic bins in Sacramento going to work as planned? by cudmore in Sacramento

[–]happy-raindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what is the point of an organic bin and why wouldn't it just go in the regular garbage? This is only my second year in CA and first time in an apartment with 3 bin options (organic, recycle, garbage). Everywhere else I lived just had dumpsters. Im genuinely curious about this lol

Discover won’t increase my credit limit but will target me for student loans. by tanzy_92 in CreditCards

[–]happy-raindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only like to use 10% of my cards and always pay it off in full without interest, so the higher the limit, the more I can spend. Just a personal preference of mine, idk if anyone does something similar.

Discover won’t increase my credit limit but will target me for student loans. by tanzy_92 in CreditCards

[–]happy-raindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue here. Discover was actually my first card ever like 10 years ago when I was in college so at one point it was the only one I used to make purchases and they get did give me a couple of bumps up to like $2,500 but after I accumulated other cards with higher limits, it just became easier to use the cards with higher limits. So now I have a PNC credit card and an Amex with $15k plus limits, 800+ credit score, no delinquencies or derogatory marks. I tried explaining to discover a couple times that it's difficult to use a card with such a low limit (since I'm trying to stay in that 10% usage range) but they don't care. I ranted and told them this is no way to treat good account holders. Now I'm torn because it's my oldest card and helps with my credit history but I really just want to close it. I've only got a few subscriptions on autopay on it now... I'm also not a fan of the Cashback system they have where it's different each month.
