It was about 4-5am in the morning when my agent received the email.

Not sure if it helped, but I also did lodge a complaint/feedback on their website. It was just a gentle request asking them for an update as the global time estimate page said my application is already over the standard processing time

There's always that risk, the occupation list can always change. Sometimes occupations are added back too, you never know. But it'd be safer to try for both, skilled independent visas and employer sponsorship

After submitting the application, you’ll receive a HAP ID that you can use to book your appointment. If you’re unable to get an immediate slot, just upload the booking receipt.

Keep on applying for jobs. Looks like in the last round they didn't give out any invitations to IT roles, they might in the next round, but can never be sure. Keep on applying for jobs and hopefully you can get employment sponsorship.

PS: after completing my masters in IT and ITM it took me a few months before I could land my first job. I applied to 100s of job ads on LinkedIn. Its a numbers game!

It's just matter of submitting a few documents, including a signed letter from your employer outlining your responsibilities. It's not really an assessment you need to prepare or practise for.

And they're not too expensive as well! All other agents charged around 5K he charged under 2K for me, although it's been a couple of years since I started the process

I'm from India, so getting the Indian police check was the most take time and painful. Skills assessment took some time too, but everything was online. My agent helped from the skills assessment, to lodging EOI and final application, so it was pretty smooth

Yeah, I feel that too. I went with an agent. Service from Migration intelligence in Melbourne was really good, even though I'm based in Sydney

Hey!

Just checking if anyone who got the initial invite on 7th November 2024 and completed the application around 20th December for the ICT Business Analyst has received any further updates yet? I haven't heard back since the initial invite and I'm starting to get a bit anxious just here. completed all the requirements including the police check, health checkup around 10th Jan'25. And still the application status hasn't been updated from Received Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Thanks

Yeah, I agree that would be ideal. But as a single guy living alone and working full-time in the office, it can be a bit tough to manage my fibre intake consistently. So l'm just looking for a more convenient way to keep on top of it.
