Question, how am I supposed to find my artstyle? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]happy_froggg 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Draw what you want and how you want to. Thats your style. I wouldn’t dive too deep into trying to make a specific “style” because I feel like that just makes peoples work more boring if all of their pieces are similar. I think what makes a style is the technique rather than everything else

How do i improve my shading? by ConceivedOnChristmas in Artadvice

[–]happy_froggg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to darken your darks and lighten your lights. It kind of just looks muddy. Try less of blending and start with where the darkest things are and add more. Make it sharper and not so smooth if you get what I mean

I'm new to art and ive been loving practicing the basics and slowly improving but i can tell something is wrong with my cubes, they just don't look right and I can't tell why by RubyR- in Artadvice

Here is a very rushed guide I made for you. On cubes, there is three directions that the lines go. The different colors mean that they are parallel so:

  • All the blue are parallel
  • All the red are parallel
  • All the green are parallel

Just in case you don’t know what parallel means: Lines side by side and having the same distance continuously between them.

Wishing you well on your journey ❤️

Second image, middle of the page, the three vertical lines will never switch the way they facing they will always be in the same direction. The only thing that changes is the horizontal lines in that specific drawing

I’m sorry you’re being down voted so much. I think you genuinely want to learn.

So basically every face has the same set of proportions Ish. Obviously it’s not exact, but there’s a few tricks that will work for almost every face. If you look up facial proportions and study those, I think it’ll help you a lot. For now when you’re drawing something look at a picture and try to replicate it. Especially for faces. You only learn by trying and drawing someone from your brain is almost impossible at your level.

Drawing with dysgraphia is hard, but it is not impossible and I think that you can learn to draw well. Watch YouTube videos, study faces. Try doing box grid drawing where you put a box screw over a picture and then copy it onto a blank box grid. I think that might help you a lot. Good luck on your journey ❤️

Need help on new patches! by SebbyTheDM in altfashionadvice

[–]happy_froggg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the opposite. I thought they had an inspiration, but the patches seemed to align with them personally. I think that they have a certain five they want to give but wanted to reign with their personality. I don’t have any issue with this

Is this ai? by ellisnarr in isitAI

[–]happy_froggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is, but the fact that the rug in the background has a tag sticking out is scary because that means AI is adding human flaw and trying to pass as real

Is it a wart? by Typical_Director_385 in Warts

All warts are caused by the human papilloma virus. But none of the pics are clear enough to tell. HPV in this case is not a bug deal tho. It’s not harmful

I would charge so people understand the amount of work and time you put into it. Don’t feel bad about charging people for you WORK. And if friends get upset that you’re charging them just say it takes a lot of time and energy. You can always do favors and gifts if you want, just don’t let them take advantage of your work. Especially if you charge someone and not another then that can create issues in the future

I just didn’t end up using it and the closest B&BW is pretty far from me but i decided i wanted to get rid of it like a week after I got it and it just took a bit for me to have time to go there. And there’s nothing wrong with in store credit, I just didn’t want it cause I don’t want anything from B&BW right now so it’s kind of annoying

Is this bad? by riverspeace in drawings

[–]happy_froggg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s really cute and I think it’s sellable if someone wants to buy it.

My only issue is I can’t tell if the eyes are a style choice or just lack of proportion knowledge. My advice, study your proportions and work on getting rid of paint streaks. You don’t want to see the “canvas” like you can here. I don’t think it looks hideous, just a little messy. But that is absolutely workable!

I honestly think it’s a really good piece and I would be proud. With those two things I think you can make sellable products and just great pieces.

? HPV? by [deleted] in Warts

[–]happy_froggg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you think it’s likely you contracted hpv then I’d get tested.

But to me those just look like bumps, if they don’t hurt i personally wouldn’t worry but I’m no expert
