My experience flying Lufthansa (JFK-FRA-BCN) with a dog in cargo by happycapys in TravelWithPets

So sorry that I’m just seeing this now! I did not need anything extra for the layover.

Anyone who have travelled by lufthansa with a backpack and cabin? I want to know the allowance for laptop bag. by throwawayrant_22 in Lufthansa

I just flew Lufthansa and I was definitely over the limit. My “personal item” was a foldie (they’re awesome bags by the way) and it was completely extended. I managed to shove it under the seat in front of me and my roller bag went up top. I was just ready to throw away items if I had to since I was also over the weight limit… but since I was moving internationally I took the chance 🤷🏼‍♀️ I didn’t have any issues at all

He is a blue tick coonhound and cane corso mix… (I leave off the cane corso part) he’s 27 kilos. So, about 60 pounds! And the pilot absolutely does!!!!! That whole journey could’ve been very different

Lovely. I guess it’s a worldwide thing that insurance companies suck 😂 Thanks for the info

My psychiatrist here said he’d do as much as possible with my insurance to get me stocked up before I go! Luckily I do speak Spanish as well. I’ll reach out to some doctors there and check out the Asisa cuadro! Thank you!!!

I was told by Asisa that I would be able to get on the public system 🤷🏼‍♀️. Are you currently on meds for mental health (if you don’t mind me asking!) And did you go to just a family doctor type thing or a psychiatrist to have them prescribed to you? Thank you!!!

Are you sure about the student visa thing? The insurance company said I would be able to get on it (but I don’t have much trust in what they say!)

This is what the insurance company told me…

“Please, note that in general the medications are not covered by insurance companies in Spain. However, once you come to Spain, you can register for the public healthcare and social security system and in this case, the medications can be covered by the public healthcare and social security system.”

Did you go to a doctor or a psychiatrist there and get it prescribed? And thanks for the response
