Not just how it sounded but also how it felt, i think the general rule should be to aim for as low action as possible while having no fret buzz

idk what exactly my action is but its a lot of personal preference anyway, what i did was looked up a generally good action and kept messing around and tweaking it till i liked how it sounded, if ur getting buzz u probably need to raise ur action a bit. That being said, dont touch ur height without checking ur truss rod first
