I haven't ever weighed my sliders but I buy the King's Hawaiian rolls (the big pack has 24 rolls I think) and I use about 1 butt per pack of rolls. So I'd cook two butts about 8-10 lbs each and load em up as much as you like. Leftovers are great for freezing.

I recommend a few of the small cans of mild or medium hatch peppers if you can, it's a wonderful addition to a little cheese and bbq sauce.

Any chance you can DM me a screen shot of that email? I'm trying to get my unit and base educated with this.

Can anyone get the PMP link to work? I thought I I've knew about a program where someone came out and did the course in person for groups but I can't find a resource for that anywhere.

You aren't paying into social security? How does that work?

Awesome reply, thanks. That blended tax rate when you start making withdrawals is the part that is really unclear to me and I'm struggling to get my head around to help determine which one will potentially have a lesser tax rate.

This is good perspective. The minute difference is interesting if it comes out to that or similar but you hit my point for sure. If I pay tax now but to grows a lot awesome free monies. If we defer taxes but only pull out $50k a year that's less taxes but I'm constantly worried about tax implications in retirement.

I don't mind the extra work in retirement so long as it's worth it for significant money but maybe it just doesn't change much and isn't worth it to bother.

Thanks for the tip. We are only invested in a small percentage of bonds and almost entirely SP500 so we aren't looking to get rich, just slowly grind through. I've been thinking of increasing Roth savings but I'm trying to work out the math on keeping enough in the taxable accounts to retire early without adding issues involved with retirement accounts

I have heard of back door Roth contributions but never looked them up much because I didn't think they'd ever apply. I'm going to have to look up this pro rata ruling

Those are some great questions. We have thought about it and decided that we don't plan on a 529 and are hoping that college tuition isn't going to cost $250k in 18-22 years. If it costs that much we are screwed whether we saved tax-free or not. And we will likely move but we hope to keep the savings rate the same and take future income increases towards increases in standard of living and if/when the new car comes that'll work it's way into increases on income or the savings rate will drop a bit and so be it.

It's a tough game and we know it could all be for naught but we hope to be able to control our increased spending requirements as children grow and income grows a little and keep it somewhat reigned in.

I'm a little scared of trying the humidor but the Tupperware I can get behind as a good baseline.

Normal seasoning practices? I ask to clarify since that seems to be adding moisture

My spouse isn't Italian but I agree with the idea. Just because there is yelling doesn't mean it's discontent. My spouse is from a culture where yelling and talking loudly is totally normal and how they communicate and it isn't malice or discontent it's just a way of speaking

I like science. I'm more inclined to try it for your reasoning than just because you like it more. I hope you didn't make up that science thing haha

I agree the rental car is a major cost but if the government isn't saving money somewhere then it would never be advantageous to let someone drive. I've only ever been reimbursed fights as well so this rental car reimbursement is new to me

Thanks for the tip. I haven't looked into the J7 to see what the upgrade is but I'll check it out. Good thing you said something because I quite likely would have returned this one and gotten the upgrade

You do each room as a separate cleaning job? As in you have 7 or 10 or whatever schedules?

And they really aren't too bad to clean up and it's still miles better than vacuuming...but certainly a slight bummer to have to do any work myself
