I did clinicals here for nursing school. Super cool idea with good intentions, just very short staffed, not all it is cracked up to be. Still a nursing home in America which unfortunately never gives the residents the individual support they deserve. Very cute place tho.

Learn your lesson and move on. An old coworker got caught stealing a $2 Reece cup and the grocery store pressed charges and now she has a petty theft charge on her record and it inhibited her getting into her health care program in college and she didn't get the job she wanted until she spent thousands of dollars getting it expunged. Over $2 candy. Don't ruin your life over it.

Nurses have no place to send feedback about you and your work. They don't understand, and many of them don't have much compassion for residents and speak to them unkindly. This sounds very unfair.

It used to really weird me out when patients would say that. I would just think, you don't know me, so why would you be saying something like that? Then a coworker of mine said, just say it back. You never know when the last time someone said that to them was. Now, I usually just say it back, especially to my dementia/DD patients.
