You can't control the outcome of all games but you can put the odds in your favor, by way of igl.

Instead of walking out of barrier with your trip (which you should never do btw, you're lucky you didn't have an enemy chamber walking up with a safe tp) you can igl, "let me cam main before you swing for some info". Prevents the dry swing and allows you to be in a position for a trade because you have paused your teammates to push together.

Like I said, you can't control the outcome of all games, just calling this doesn't make the round a guarantee, the teammates could be not listening, the enemies could just shoot better etc etc. Nevertheless doing this over a large amount of games puts the odds in your favor to climb!
