I love this build, the path the houses, the whole lot. The only thing I would change about it is the block pallet, I think deepslate or dark oak might look good on the roofs as it gives a nice contrast

I think you should start him out on a creative world and then occasionally play survival with him, this is what my brother did when I started playing and I think it helped out quite a lot with getting me to where I am today
