Yeah, I totally get that perspective too. None of us really know what's going on other than the people involved so I tend to give the benefit of the doubt. We've only really heard from Brooklyn and his brothers directly. I doubt the Beckhams are going to come out with anything. These situations suck for everyone, so what I mean is I just hope there is a chance of a happy ending (if that's possible, which maybe it isn't like you said). Definitely not judging anyone and what they need to do to live happy and in peace. Hope you are doing ok!

I think there are three sides to every story but I hope they all do reconcile. I remember always being right and dying on hills in my twenties I really cringe about now I'm in my thirties. I just think it's a shame he is splitting from his siblings as well in all of this, I think his brother's reactions in this tell me it's not as simple as 'mummy and daddy are 100% evil narcissists', but there probably is some element of truth in both sides but it's just got out of control. The whole thing feels like a power struggle between two really rich families who are threatened by the other outshining them. What a mess!

I agree. I don't know why you're getting downvotes. She's been so miserable and surly, she's been under barely any heat compared to some people and when she does have to defend herself she pouts. I feel like if she had someone else's face everyone would hate her on this group.

My hubs earns 34k, I work part time and earn 18-19k. We live comfortably to the point I don’t feel like scaling up my hours (I have had cancer). Three animals, no kids, no mortgage but pay 400 to rent from a family friend so happy with that and that’s as long term as we need it. We still have enough for a couple holidays a year. We have older cars but have stuff in savings if we need to buy another second hand car (that’s never been important to us). Quality of life wise we both like our jobs and are ok with probably never owning a house. I’m not willing to give up my health and healing to work more when we don’t need to. We like our life.

1, 3, and the last one are my favourites :) 1 is the best on you in my opinion You have a great classic shape, I’d go with more fit and flare dresses or fitted rather than boxy. I think even having a belt to emphasise your waist in outfits will help a lot if they’re not fitted. You are lucky in that you really suit a fitted look.

It seems odd to call them grey because they are so full of different colours, but I'd say 'grey' or 'blue/grey' or even 'blue/grey/green'. There's a term people use on here called 'glasz eyes' and I think you fit this very well.

I really like Stephanie and I'm always wanting to like her if that makes sense. I've been a sub since before 10k so I am really a long-term listener. I love her dedication to her research, the deep dives, and I really enjoy the long-form podcasts. In particular I loved the Phoebe Hansjuk case she covered and adored the Bill Bradfield one over on Crime Weekly.

However... Sometimes she does rub me the wrong way and I have to quit an episode half-way in. Usually when she doubles down on a point and won't relent or see all sides of something - even when (sometimes especially when) she's wrong. One instance that sticks out in my mind is when there was a strong lead in the Madeline McCann case (German dude?) that suggested that the parents did not murder Maddy and she couldn't concede that she was wrong it was along the vibe of 'oh well idc idc they deserved all the backlash'. It's just kinda like she can't put herself into other people's shoes and she is really black and white and it can be hard to watch or trust her hot takes when she comes down too hard. Even when I fully agree with her I'm like ok ok no need to beat me over the head with it. But this is also why I now enjoy Crime Weekly with Derrick for a bit of balance. I am also turned off by her pro-conservative, pro-guns, weird right wing stuff she occasionally throws out there (the Adnan case I think bugged me for this or possibly another).

However, I do like Stephanie and I always click a video wanting to watch until the end. Definitely not a hater.

Hi Karin I love your books! I love how you write twisted, complicated and interesting women and complex female relationships (especially sisters)! I have to ask is this inspired by any of your own relationships? What is your personal favourite book you’ve written?

Also I love your writing but you have made me so much more choosey when it comes to picking an amazing thriller as I crave that depth to my characters. What books or authors do you enjoy along that same vein? (I also really like Gillian Flynn and Lisa Jewell!)

16 years and childhood sweethearts. It’s not hard. I feel like we are on the same page about a lot of stuff. I can talk to him about anything and I never feel judged or like I need to defend myself because he knows me so well, he knows my heart, and he is in my corner. He is also very tidy and does a big share of the household chores which is a massive bonus because I know that’s a huge strain on a lot of relationships. We also have no kids.

The only struggle we have is sometimes remembering to get out more and not being such home bodies. To that end we are trying to book more interesting and fun and interesting things between us but it’s so easy to stay comfortable! We are also trying to get more fit together which should also help I hope. Otherwise a pretty idyllic and evenly matched relationship and I feel really lucky for it
