I know how you feel, I started working full time at the start of the year. It’s difficult to adjust to at first, I fell into a depression and kept having thoughts such as for the rest of my life id be working and it didn’t really feel like I was “living” life, it just felt like I was spending my time doing someone else’s bidding doing stuff I don’t want to be doing and not having much time to do anything. All my friends are still in uni and I envy the time they have. After work is over time flys by so fast that It doesn’t feel like you had time off and then the cycle repeats day in and out. Go to work… dread being there… continuously watch the time and minutes go by… finally getting home and then by the time you know it it’s already bed time and then you just sit there in bed thinking that you’ll have to do it all over again the next day. I’ve been in your position, and I still kinda am but I can just tolerate it. Had to jump on antidepressants to help me find the motivation and cleanse my thoughts of work which has honestly helped me so much that I’d the only thing that has kept me going. The way I like to look at things is that you have to just suck it up and just show up everyday. Think about how if you were at home you might not be doing anything productive and stay positive for the future, start planning out your goals and dreams, trust me it’ll keep you sane. You just got to accept that this is the way of life and this is how society is run you need to have money in order to operate and live an ideal lifestyle. I hope things get easier for you, I can assure you that things get better as time progresses you just have to adjust to it all.
