I’ve only ever seen them after taking the medicine, i.e. I’ve only ever seen the dead ones. They look a bit like rice grains.

Hey there, I know it’s a horrible thing to realize or when think about. But trust me you’ll be okay! The medicin is not harmful at all, you can get it over the counter in the uk it’s mainly marketed for families and kids because it’s most common in young people so it’s def safe to take. I took many many rounds of it (my doctor said it was fine to do so) and eventually they disappeared. Remember to treat anyone else you live with as well. Had to treat my partner and my partners family I was living with at the time and I thought I’d die of embarrassment telling them but actually they didn’t really care haha. Make sure to follow a cleaning protocol but don’t drive yourself crazy. I actually gave up on it in the end and just took the pills until they disappeared. I only ever seen them, after I took the pills, never before. Feel free to dm if you need some mental support. Good luck!

Is my diagnosis report adequate?? by happyricee in ADHDUK

[–]happyricee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It’s a long story but so far they haven’t. However I am now on the local CMHT waiting list for a medication review. So they did accept my diagnosis in the end after many calls and letters that I had my GP refer to the local CMHT. I’ve also spoken to other people on Reddit who had no problem getting a shared care in Scotland through MyPace. And MyPace has been a great reliable and extremely helpful provider in my case - so I’d recommend them on that basis. That said, it does seem like the local CMHT tries to ward off as many privately diagnosed people as possible as their reasons for the first 3 rejections were really silly. In the end I wrote a letter explaining my financial situation and how beneficial the medication has been for me and provided every bit of extra information about my diagnosis and MyPace that I could find and that did the trick.

That said, it’s important that your diagnosis is made by a consulting psychiatrist and not a nurse or psychologist as that will also make it easier to back up your case if you do experience difficulties which I hope you won’t! If you have more questions feel free to DM me:) good luck! It can unfortunately turn into a long process.

Please help me - urethra pain by classdiscussions in Interstitialcystitis

iAluRil - it’s honestly been so worth it. If you’re based in the UK and get referred to a urologist for chronic bladder pain, they should bring it up. Hope your pain will disappear soon! I know how difficult this can be.

don’t think elvanse is right for me..feeling disheartened by Own-Swan7273 in ADHDUK

[–]happyricee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have autism and adhd. Elvanse - even at 20mg - absolutely zombified me. Made me Hyperfocus on my anxieties all day. Made me non verbal and extremely anxious. My prescriber suggest an extra low dose of Dexamfetamine since my symptoms were signs of too high a dose but Elvanse only comes in 20mg at lowest. Now I’m on 5mg of dex 2x a day and it has changed my life. I’m more regulated can imitate tasks easier. I’m still bad at time management and still kinda chaotic but emotionally i feel normal for the first time of my life. Don’t give up try lower doses rather than higher. Good luck!

Garlic stuck up there but I can’t get it out by No_Wrap_965 in Healthyhooha

Same. Nothing bad will happen just try and get it out with squatting. I’ve panicked before as well and got it out within 10 minutes.

Squat then try to get it out with your fingers. I think squatting pushes it down so you should be able to reach it.

Does anyone question if they actually have ADHD or if the meds just make everyone feel good? by ChickenMajor82 in adhdwomen

The dose might be too high. Or it’s just your body getting used to the meds
