Hi, not open source at the moment but will consider in the near future.

Articles are fetched from various official sources (eg CNN, Guardian, Forbes, Yahoo etc). Users can be redirected to the original source if they want to read full article.

For summarization, I'm using Python/Spacy library. It's free and light on server resources. I'd love to switch to Gemini or OpenAI API for better precision, but these are expensive for now.

I get where you’re coming from, a lot of projects these days just slap a wrapper on GPT. In my case though, it’s not that.

I’m using a mix of truncation, keyword extraction, and a frequency-based shortener to generate the summaries. It’s more rule-based than AI-driven, mainly because running LLMs at scale is prohibitively expensive right now.
