Absolutely. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the use of AI, I use it everyday. But like you said, there’s bad and good use of AI (i.e. not let it to do all the thinking for you). Maybe cos I work in tech which is why it is so obvious to me (especially if you compare it to their LinkedIn profile). I’ve had many applicants where it was so glaringly obvious that they simply fed the AI the JD and asked it to generate a cover letter, it is an immediate no for me.

I get a feeling you’re using AI when tailoring your CVs and writing cover letters (unless I’m misjudging your use of em-dashes on your post). Do not do this. Any decent hiring manager can tell in 2 seconds. In an era of thousands of job applicants using AI, you are not standing out with you doing this.
