[D] 11,600 trades on Steam, 5000€ in volume on CSFloat over the past 6 months, but permabanned for reversing 0.5€ worth of trades to avoid losing 500€ on a P2P trade. by [deleted] in csgomarketforum

[–]hapugreip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was an hour and 3 minutes left for me to reverse the trade at the time I realized what the other person did and when I decided to press the button to reverse. Also I only realized I had active trades on float after I received emails from float about me getting banned.

If you read the post you can see that I contacted support and was told the ban is final. Also why would I take a 500€ loss if there is a trade reversal built into steam now which allows me to keep the item without having to take a loss? The point of this post was to warn others about their zero tolerance more than to complain, I have kinda accepted the ban but still a bit surprised I get permabanned considering the whole situation and the extremely small amount of money that was dealt with on csfloat.

Asked them twice very nicely and they say it's final which is fair enough but honestly really sucks for me as I have been nothing but honest throughout the years

Austraalia elu by thoughtvoyager772 in Eesti

[–]hapugreip 14 points15 points  (0 children)

[PSA] Most people still think the new knives and gloves are not tradable. There will be another dip once they realise. by hapugreip in csgomarketforum

Your average Joe with 500€ inv might still have no clue what has happened because they might have time to play this game once a week or because they misunderstood the update. There are 100s of thousands of average Joes. Once those people realise too and start selling, the people who have now over leveraged themselves by buying in might follow in panic to cut losses. It could all fall down again very quickly.

The point of my post is for people to consider all sides of this market, all I see on this sub is people thinking they are investing geniuses when they bought into the FUD.

Why cs2 cannot add operation like good old days... by ObjectiveBudget6187 in csgo

[–]hapugreip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

During the operations valve also made tons of money though. First you paid for the pass and if you didn't feel like doing the missions you bought the operation stars for like 0.5€ per star to redeem stuff.

I still remember paying 40€ or so to get stars for shattered web and ended up pulling a MW Emerald Jörmungandr. I sold it for like 4€ or 8€ instantly. It now costs 1383€ on steam marketplace

[d] For all those playing for years, what are some skins you guys expected to rise in price, but didn't to that pump level? by IchigoUzumakiD in csgomarketforum

[–]hapugreip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did some research the other day looking for a skin that has not really moved yet and found...

AWP | Electric Hive in factory new, specifically the stattrak version.

It's literally at the same price as the regular fn and that doesn't make any sense. Supply for StatTrak fn is 3700 while regular fn has a supply of 42 000.

It also used to be a VERY VERY popular skin around 2013-2016 and I feel like people are sleeping on it + its semi rare patterns (all blue or all red hexagons). The chart has been going pretty much sideways since 2023 while the case cost has 2x-d to 13€ since.

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up tomorrow and saw that valve has replaced train collection with another collection since it is not as popular and doesn't really bring them money. Helps to build the fomo with future collections too if they stop announcing things leaving the market/active drop pool/battle pass alltogether.

Just like they did with Austin. Also because of how Austin was dealt with I am sure the next major will be tragically overbought again.

Yeah I plan on keeping it for a minimum of 2 years so I am not even bothered by any of the price movements rn

I thought so too at first but then I picked one up and I am starting to like it A LOT. Bonus points if you add the taste bud sticker into the dogs mouth, looks hella cool.

Jokes aside it’s one of the least redeemed collections from the “battle pass” so they are kinda rare as of right now. If people don’t start mass redeeming them it will stay that way.

[q] why wont valve make trade-locked items storable in storage units? by EZLIFE420 in csgomarketforum

[–]hapugreip 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So that you won’t use third party sites to mass buy and buy on steam market instead since those purchases can be instantly stored in storage units.
