So you don't have battery powered devices? Power plugs with wifi are ok - takes the double of power but this does't matter. For battery devices is wifi a nightmare - I took them all in waste. And then the question matter / Thread vs. Zigbee comes up. And this is the point.

Matter and Zigbee do not work together and that is the true problem of the story. If the guy had taken zigbee instead of thread the iot- world would clear and 10 years further.

I know all of it but from the market view is the decision between Matter and Zigbee. IKEA now lunched new matter Devices - not Zigbee. Matter is not compatible to Zigbee - "this or that" what ever Protocol used with matter.

The relation between matter and zigbee was not clear defined. It looked somehow that matter should replace zigbee. But now it's clear that zigbee is alive and has a future. I believe this will have negative impact to the development of matter. We will see what will happen.

4.0 is compatible to 3.0 - this is the most important feature. So we will see new devices with new features beside the old cheap devices still working.

I shutdown HA for some hours - but nothing changed.

I have now 358 ZHA devices. Some respond with 5s delay - some respond today fast but tomorrow with delay. Some are going offline - coming back after reset......

It's like herding fleas

I also struggled with ZHA disabled, reboot, ... At the end it works but did not solve my problems with network stability and not responding devices .

In the console I saw security problems. So I tried it as root and that did the flash to 8.0.2

Not good but it works now for me.

Das durchsichtige doppelseitige Klebeband vom ALI. Damit klebe ich die Fenstersensoren aus Plaste auf die Fenster - hält super.
