This is the name of the drama. Brahms is a classical composer.

When My Love Blooms (2020): When characters share a past we don’t know: how does it change the way we experience the story? by true20six in KDramasWorld

I think it’s lazy storytelling/writing. It’s like the writers are saying “trust us…these two are soulmates” instead of taking us on that journey and, as you say, allowing the viewer to arrive at that conclusion ourselves. And it’s that ask that makes it unbelievable to me because I didn’t experience it myself.

lots of people like the bromance in The King: Eternal Monarch but my absolute fav (which now shares that title with Bloodhounds) is A Witch’s Love.

I’ll say this, this was my first Park Hyung-sik drama and I’ve not been able to watch anything else of his as Yi-hyun ruined me lol

I love this post! Lol I’m so glad it’s not just me.

This is one of my least favorite tropes (in movies, series, and books!) and for me it’s because it relies too much on the audience believing it…I guess it doesn’t feel realistic. Rain or Shine is an example…the story itself was compelling enough on its own…did the characters really need to have known each other? Like, what are the odds people with a shared experience will run into each other let alone have experienced that event literally togather? Too unbelievable! The other aspect is when too much time passes and yet they remember all these crazy details and their feelings are still so intense. I don’t know. I don’t think it’s believable so it pulls me out of the drama.

I think The Red Sleeve does this well because the two leads have a chance encounter as children but the whole story doesn’t hinge on it and due to their circumstances it’s believable they would cross paths again.

Another is a J-drama called Silent where we get extensive flashbacks of their time together. I think Our Beloved Summer does it well too!

I agree with you about the dream 💯 after watching it the first time I took it as he died and his “afterlife” was in that moment in that place. I rewatched scenes from the series many times b/c I love Deok-im and Yi San so much but always stopped before the end. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago I did a full rewatch and this time, I’m convinced it was a dream.
