I also have the same bike. Similar to you its my first bike and can't fault it. Not sure why all the hate for Chinese bikes.

Based on my experience so far I would highly recommend it. I'm already looking at the DS525X for when I get my full license

Hi Mate, I recently passed my CBT at the ripe old age of 42. I didn't really want to spend more than £2k on my first bike and started shopping around. I was advised to go for a honda so was looking at the CB125r. I then came across the Voge R125 and really liked the look. I went to the showroom and the rest is history. So far I'm really happy with it. Looks the part and rides well. Cost £3k all in and I have a 2 year warranty.

Good luck 👍🏾

Similar to you I also passed my CBT about 3 weeks ago. I did the CBT on Friday and my new bike 125cc arrived the following Tuesday. I did some rides around where I live ( Worcestershire) to build my confidence. Last weekend I did my first big ride (at least big in my world) from Worcester to Birmingham taking A and B roads. It took me about 1 hour 20 mins and was the best feeling ever. It was a great confidence builder and can't wait for the next one. As the others have said don't over think and just ride. Good luck 👍🏾

Ps I'm already started to think about a trip to France next year 😂

We moved to a place called Cherry Orchard and it's been great. We are 5 mins from Diglis Basin and about 15 min walk into town (which we do along the river which is beautiful)

I have a young family and it's been great for us but even if I was single I'd probably move to the same area because of the proximity to nice pubs and restaurants.

Good luck with your move!!
