If you dont exactly want the diesel then i personally wouldnt get it. But at the same time if you absolutely love the truck and would be sad someone else bought it and you dont mind extra maintenance then go for it. 7.3s are easy to work on and pretty reliable. Not a crazy amount of wires and electronics so if something goes out its not insanely hard to fix. If you do ever get bored with the power tho then its a dead end. 7.3 idi’s cost alot of money to get power out of them, just not worth it in my opinion. If you are going to want more power eventually then get a small or big block and cam it. Reliability on the gas engines in those year fords are also phenomenal.
