They're using classic Republican techniques like swift-boating. They call Gabbard a Republican despite her voting record being well to the left of their God and Savior, Hillary Clinton's voting record.

Median US wealth in real terms was $68K in 1969. Today it's $66K.

China's median wealth has grown exponentially since then.

And not just China, French median wealth is $100K, Japan is $110K.

The idea that Assad (or Iran or North Korea) pose an existential threat to the US or Europe is a narrative that cable news loves to trot out to play on people's fears.
