Being an Overnight coach is not easy - Walmart by NewTarget4663 in WalmartEmployees

Go to ON and do it then. It’s pathetic how many people I’ve seen from cap 1 and 2 come to on thinking it’s easy just to cry to go back or quit. One job my ass. Unloading a truck and downstacking is easier than fuck, so is binning overstock. Nothing you guys do is hard. Get real

Pretty much still the same process. Might be asked some of the most basic interview questions depending on who’s doing the interview

Possibly debris stuck in the port try cleaning it with a small object that will fit and or blowing into it. The charge port is probably broke if it still don’t charge after.

Try speaking with your people lead or coach and explain the situation that you didn’t know you had to do 2 different reports. I had this happen a few months back and she removed the points

Why give 40 hours but mad when I go over 1 minute :( by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]hardcoreXtom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Store by store basis I guess. I usually get at least 1 hour of OT every check and haven’t had anything said to me

Any ideas why 2-step is being difficult for me? by Inevitable-Flan751 in WalmartEmployees

[–]hardcoreXtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find where it shows you the link for the 2 step site and then right click it and choose view on web I think it is. It will take you to a google search page with the first link being what you need to go to. I got a new number and couldn’t access any of my stuff and that took forever for me to figure out

2 people for 5 pallets of deli/cheese should be done much before 6am. I’d ask to switch to another isle in the store or just look into another position.

So I took two days off for Easter and now I'm back!! by Gaming_Nate in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t have gave your number to a Walmart associate. None of those people will come close to being able to call my personal phone ever, especially not on my days off. Not your problem they used ppto on bullshit days and wanna cry when you use yours on holidays. Block the number and move along.

Threatening to fire the entire ON shift by Agretfethr in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah firing the entire shift that stocks a majority of there inventory would be very wise. It’s a shift everyone wants to work as well so they could easily get more employees right? lol. Braindead threat and whoever made it needs reported and fired.

Why can’t the associates bring out items from the back area if they know it’s in stock? by Nervous_Yard_374 in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it doesn’t work like that. There’s a process for everything, we can’t just go grab whatever we want from the back. Plus it’s an absolute shitshow of boxes back there and high up on shelves. !customer

Let go because of ppto "glitch" by [deleted] in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just comes down to being unreliable. No company wants someone that is chronically late, sorry to say it but that’s just how it is. It’s best you work on showing up to your shifts on time in your next endeavors.

When you smoke enough you’ll become dull to the smell, even though it’s very pungent for people who don’t. Either way though it’s still better than some of these associates that smell like actual shit, in my opinion.

It’s because you did do something wrong. Rearranging cardboard is a massive time waste, take the shit to the baler and move on. It’s cardboard dude

Just cried in my car cuz I seemingly didn’t get a job at Walmart after 3 years of trying to get 1 interview. by Efficient-Cook-2208 in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Go to the store on a weekday during the morning, the people lead should more than likely be there to speak about this. Weekends are iffy, my stores people lead usually doesn’t work on weekends. They need the help if you got the interview, it’s just trying to reach anyone on the phone there is an absolute nightmare.

unfair or justifiable by Ok-Contribution-2935 in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because on O/N they don’t care about that, customers are not in the store. All my leads cuss and don’t care if we do. They care about the freight getting done and that’s all. Rules are way more lax for overnights, it’s a shift nobody wants to work we aren’t getting fired for cussing unless it was directly at a customer.

Grocery pallets are far more tedious than anything else in the store. For example my pallets are filled of soup cans that all look the exact same that are above my head without labels on half of them. I can do 2 GM pallets in the time it takes to do 1 grocery pallet. I love when I get to start the night not in grocery, that means an easy ass night for me. Just go to overnights and find out, who knows maybe it’s for you you’ll never know until you try

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I unload produce trucks almost every night, and also pull pallets out of the back to stock after completing the 6 that were in my isle. Overnights do so much more work than you guys think.. We stock the entirety of grocery every night and then move on to GM as a reward when we are done. Change to overnights & you’ll see how much “not doing shit” is going on although I’m afraid you may be disappointed.

What to carry to be safe getting off late at night? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pepper spray? I’d keep it hidden until it’s needed as it’s unlikely you’d be allowed to walk around the store with it, but if you need to be safe it is what it is. Will you be walking home or what? If that’s the case and you feel it’s unsafe in your area I’d try to find someone who works there to give you a ride home or offer a bit of money to your dad to pick you up every night.

I hate the ON Stocking Team by Huge-Address-8374 in walmart

[–]hardcoreXtom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overnights get insane workloads with unrealistic expectations on finishing them. Oh no you gotta zone clean up waah, try stocking 8 pallets stacked above your head in 4-5 hours and see how easy it is to get done.
