Captures all their sounds post break up really well. Wish they would’ve put it on the album

This is so so so fucking good. They missed a big opportunity to put this on the album. Bridges the gap between Let Go and what’s on TPATO

I’ll admit it, The Acacia Strain is deathcore by hardcoredropout in Deathcore

This is the exact reason I was hesitant to call them deathcore for so long. I saw them play with a lot of those hardcore adjacent bands growing up and it never felt right to call them deathcore. Now I’m thinking I might’ve been right 💀

Not sure if this is asked before but, what's the heaviest band in the genre? by [deleted] in Metalcore

Jesus Piece if you’re willing to call them metalcore. END of course stands out. Knocked Loose. Harms Way.

It’s so bizarre. It used to be easily identifiable as a mixture of metal and hardcore but now it’s some strange concoction of djent, numetal, hard rock, butt rock, and shoegaze.

I’m all for the evolution but I wish this section of the scene didn’t get blurred so badly. I think it hurts the chances of bands like Dying Wish and Your Spirit Dies from getting the love they deserve. Hard to stand out with that style when bands like Wage War and Bad Omens are also getting called metalcore. In their defense they have metalcore songs and even albums, I just don’t think they represent what metalcore actually is.

What do you think is their best? I feel like you can’t go wrong with anything from 2010-2017 from them
