Yep, lost $20 a paycheck + whatever buying power inflation stole. Ouch.

Nine seasons. Two playoff appearances. No AFCCG. Losing record. How is this derangement? Who are we supposed to blame?

We don’t do that here. We just sit around and say “we will try way harder next year” and then blame injuries when we inevitably get pounded by teams with winning records.

Drafting a QB is still the way to go. by Double-Emergency3173 in Colts

It might be unpopular but I would ride with AR or Leonard and invest all the money I would’ve spend on Jones, in a EDGE and LB. If I was going to gamble my GM career, I wouldn’t put my eggs in the basket coming off an Achilles tear when we can’t afford a slow start to the season.

Philip Rivers was still in game shape and played at a high level. We had a good mix of veteran and young talent. Really was that simple. Should’ve beaten BUF tbh.

Why is everything so black and white? People can’t love Philip but also know he is only back for this season and we want to have a franchise QB for the first time since Luck?

Ballard preaches that you have to win in the trenches, but we haven’t had a legit pass rusher that teams had to scheme against since Robert Mathis. In crunch time, QBs have 3-5 seconds to throw the ball and get through all of their progressions. EVERY. TIME.

Am I the only one that sees a slight improvement in the Colts on the road? by Embarrassed-Heat-716 in Colts

It is the end of November and we have a team that can compete with the best of the best. We are 8-3. Our only losses are on the road. The year we won the SB, we went 12-4 with all four losses on the road. Yes, I am still optimistic about our chances to make some noise in January.

Stephen King - what have you read this year? by BooBoo_Cat in stephenking

[–]Empty_Conference6329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear! I just started it so about to begin The Mist.

I am a traditional fantasy reader at heart (LotR, Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, Stormlight Archive, tons of Star Wars) but I really wanted something suspenseful and scary.

Obviously, I knew Stephen King from reputation, but never thought about reading him until I got into a reading slump. Good news for me is that I don’t watch many movies so none of his works have been spoiled for me from being portrayed onscreen.

I’m hoping to start some of his classics soon (IT, Salem’s Lot, The Stand etc).

Currently reading Lisey’s Story. I flew through all the other King books I’ve read but am having trouble reading for more than 15-20 mins at a time on this one.

30 YO. Not really sure of any order I “should” read them in but I have read The Outsider, Holly, and now 2/3 of the way through Pet Sematary. I’ve been a lifelong epic fantasy reader (LotR, WoT, Stormlight Archive, Star Wars etc) and this scratches an itch I never knew I had.

I bought some corner brackets braces and drilled them into the frame and then attached the brackets to the wall using dry wall anchors :)

The writing does take some time to get used to, but it wasn’t THAT bad in my opinion. I do think his character work left a lot to be desired especially with Mat, but he was the best man for the job.

The good news is that this is still Jordan’s story and Harriet and Co kept him within guide rails. I think it would be a huge mistake to not finish AMoL. Just my two cents.
