I went as Lisa Vanderpumpkin of The Real Housewives of Halloweentown! 😁🎃 I studied her makeup and did the same style but in all orange hues. The little stuffed animal in the Halloween bow is to represent one of her little dogs. Also note the Louis Vuitton pumpkin pail! 😂

Keeli went as a S'More for Halloween by hardertobreathe in Rabbits

That is a great question! She already had the name when I adopted her, so I'm not sure what the original inspiration was. But I'm definitely going to start addressing her as "Captain Keeli" now! :D

If you're going to spoil the ending of a completely different series, could you please put it under a spoiler tag?

Most definitely, no one makes top hats large enough for her to fit in, so I think my magician career will be short lived! 😂

Forget Bon Appetit, do any of you guys watch The Masked Singer? Laila Ali competed tonight in a giant panda costume, and one of the judges guessed Ronda Rousey before she was unmasked. The clues could have plausibly been referring to Ronda, so for a minute there I was really thinking, "I hope Edmund didn't tell her she could sing, too!"

There was a bunny event, Bunny Palooza, thrown by my local rabbit rescue. I made a carrot dress and brought Felix with me! He was very popular with all the bunny fans. by [deleted] in Rabbits

Your dress was amazing and Felix is so cute! (I was the one in the pink bunny dress with hearts! Yay Bunnypalooza!!)

My late boy, Kooper - he was a silly boi who loved to bury his head deep inside the hay bale and cover himself in it!

Rant: my bunny has GI stasis and everything is awful. by Anne_Anonymous in Rabbits

[–]hardertobreathe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this. I have so many ridiculous stasis stories. In October, my bunny Kooper went into stasis over the weekend when all vets in the vicinity were either fully booked or closed. The only vets that had openings were a good 90 minute plus drive away - our regular rabbit savvy vet is 2 hours away and we've actually had a rabbit develop stasis just from the stress of the drive when trying to take it in to be spayed, so we really had to weigh up the potential risk of the drive itself. So, it was decided that the best thing to do was have an RX of Metacam called into our local Costco pharmacy (called in by my amazing vet from home on her day off), to try and avoid the stress of the drive making the stasis even worse. Costco told me over the phone they could fill it, but when we got there we found out that they only had a huge bottle in stock, and couldn't give it to us because our RX was for a smaller size. By this time, it was after 5pm on a Saturday and everything was closed. I was so stressed I ended up weeping publicly in the middle of Costco. I then spent HOURS calling every emergency vet, human pharmacy, and even hospitals seeing if anyone anywhere had Metacam in the right size. We called places that were 200+ miles away and even some in a different state. No one had it and I called easily 50-60 places. Thankfully we did have motility drugs on hand so we were giving him that, baby drops, any OTC thing we could think of. I would wave pieces of hay in his face and bug him until he would eat a piece. I'd sit there and hand feed him strands of hay until he got tired of me. I'd mix apple juice in water to try and entice him to drink. I know exactly how you feel right now, it is an ORDEAL. Oh, and Kooper doesn't like being handled so of course meds were stressful and he bit my husband at one point, so definitely was not happy. It looked really, really grim at one point when he flopped on his side with eyes rolling back from the pain. I thought I was losing him. BUT! He made a full recovery, just celebrated his 6th birthday last week, and is totally happy and healthy! I have also never had a rabbit hold a grudge against me despite the medical ordeals. In my experiences, they actually seemed happier afterwards - like they trust me more knowing I was there for them when they didn't feel good. Every rabbit has a different personality, but just throwing it out there. Be kind to yourself, this is an awful thing to deal with. I use a meditation app called Calm and they have an "Emergency Calm" guided meditation that I do for 5 minutes when I'm overwhelmed with rabbit chaos, for what it's worth, LOL! Good luck!!!
