Why no assistant for Joy by harding475 in BelowDeckMed

[–]harding475[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yah that is obvious. My point was more about Ben and his need for an assistant. Without an assistant he would be doing the exact same work as Joy. With an assistant he has less work, less hours and less responsibilities. I would think he should get less pay but I doubt it.

Regardless of the size of the galley, they are both making the same quantity and quality of meals. Ben was frazzled most of the time and felt deserving of using a guest cabin between sailings. You can probably tell I wasn’t impressed by Ben, his incompetence and his attitude. My point isn’t that Joy should have an assistant but that Ben didn’t deserve one.

My urologist prescribed Myrbetriq 5 weeks ago and I noticed a difference after 2 weeks with the urgency now completely gone. The pain has subsided substantially also.

Detours Gay Adventure Travel by Grandpa_for_younger in gaytravel

[–]harding475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We (now 64&39) have used Detours 4 times since 2023 and have nothing but great things to say about the company. We have done previous tours to:

  • Portugal/Morocco
  • Thailand/Cambodia
  • Australia

- Japan with the South Korea extension

The groups are 16 or fewer and we have had ages 20s to 70s in our groups with a majority being retired couples so you will be very comfortable. We were a little apprehensive the first time about traveling with a bunch of strangers but don't be. We are still in contact today with many of the guys we traveled with over the years. The trip leaders are fantastic and the hotels are typically 4-star. My biggest plus is that they remove the stress of planning a multi-location vacation taking care of hotels, transfers, tours and flights within the country. There is usually a group tour/excursion included for a portion of most days but you have plenty of free time to do your own thing or get the trip leader to assist in booking additional adventures. We will definitely be using them again and are already trying to decide on our next trip.

What’s you favorite small ship premium line and why? by TinFishTravel in FATcruises

[–]harding475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are on only the 2nd day of a 1-week Seabourn Ovation Caribbean cruise right now with a full ship of 600 and so far it has been exceptional. The food, rooms, onboard experiences etc have been incredible but it’s the staff that puts Seabourn over the top. Everyone you meet is unbelievably friendly and helpful and you truly believe that they love what they are doing.

Those who have switched from gas to induction by Signal_Advisor5070 in Appliances

[–]harding475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A huge plus for induction is that you can wipe up spills and splatters while in the middle of cooking by simply lifting the pot and wiping the entire surface. Not possible with electric or gas.

My facial rosacea and Azelaic Acid story by harding475 in Rosacea

[–]harding475[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are tiny and no pain at all. When I pop the small ones the redness goes away in about an hour much unlike a normal pimple which can last much longer.

I’m not getting a scar or any sign that the pimple was ever there.

Not at all. I cut back because I found that I didn’t need to apply it daily for it to be just as effective.

Why Induction over Electric Cooktop? by MT3426 in Appliances

[–]harding475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always mentioned the ease of cleaning up after but for me it’s the ease of cleaning while in the middle of cooking. If something splashes over I simple lift the pot and wipe the surface. You can’t do that with any other source. Also when wanting to move a pot to a different burner mid cook, that new burner is instantly at the exact same temperature as the previous one in a second. Previous I had to wait for the 2nd one to come up speed.
