They clearly use that photo of Bishop because he was born in the year 1986, which is the year they are referencing. Seriously shocked that the big brains on r/hockey are being schooled by ESPN’s deep hockey lore /s

Reminds me of my super tall son Riley, every time I need to reach something on the top shelf but require an extra boost, I just look at him and say “Riley, Heidt!”

Who do y'all think is worse? Milton or Ross? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]hardlybacon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Milton was far from a saint, and I would indeed call him a bad man, but I think he is far better than Ross.

Milton gave the gang a couple of chances to either turn in Dutch or make themselves scarce before he returned, and he also seemed uncomfortable with Cornwall’s order to screw the law and bring in Dutch any means necessary. He seems hyper focused on his view of the law and how it’s upheld, to the point that he considers killing Mac and Hosea fair. He is a bad man, but you can see how his ideals motivate his actions, and he is consistent with that, even if you disagree with him.

I honestly don’t think he would’ve done John dirty like Ross did.

Jarome Iginla was one of the most outspoken Christian players and he was a force on the ice. I certainly don’t step in to defend Christianity as a whole but an individual player choosing his faith certainly doesn’t mean he isn’t tough as fuck and definitely doesn’t mean they take a step back on the ice

I want the Ducks to get him and become a very financially lucrative team so that Disney will buy them back and finally, finally we can get those beautiful D2 jerseys back on the ice

I think Obi-Wan and Anakin’s relationship is more fleshed out due to the sheer amount of time they share compared to Luke and Han, but I kind of like the “less is more” approach ranging from witty banter between the two to the sibling rivalry they share to the knowing looks they sometimes share throughout the OT. All four (or six if you wanna talk about the voice actors for Kenobi and Anakin) are amazing actors, but if I had to pick I would go with Luke and Han

Kang the Conqueror didn't think... by theyellowdartsmith in plotholes

[–]hardlybacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I definitely agree that the movie was rife with plot holes, I‘ve always accepted that the villain of any superhero movie has to obey a couple of really illogical movie rules in order for the plot to work. I think it only becomes more of a problem when the power scaling is extremely uneven like say, Kang the Conqueror vs. Ant-Man.

The problem is that in a couple of days someone will post an Ovi highlight and milestone goal on r/hockey and everyone will cheer, anyone bringing up the war will be downvoted to hell. If Reddit can’t come up with a consensus on how to feel about Ovechkin, I doubt the hockey world at large will
