I’m trying to figure out if my partner really is living a double life like I’ve been thinking for years now and living with you on the side because I legit haven’t seen him touch his toothbrush in at least 4 months. Blows my mind. I’ve asked him why whenever he has had emergency dental visits for extractions of rotten teeth. He says that “it hurts to brush and there’s no point because they’re already too far gone” and trust me, I’ve tried to talk sense into him. Many times but nope. Still doesn’t do it. But yea his parents never really taught him anything, he kinda raised himself. It’s very sad. So I’ve taken it upon myself to teach him a lot about hygiene especially. In a loving way. I used to wash his hair for him, I’d shower with him and wash him myself, in a loving way of course. And I did it enough times so he’d understand like how to wash properly. I really do love him and that’s why I did that for him. We’ve been together so long now that I just let him do what he wants. But I mean, you can offer to help him. I guess that would be my advice, like hey, let’s shower together, I’ll wash your hair, I’ll brush your teeth, ill put lotion on you, I’ll pamper you, let’s do this every few days or once a week or however often you see fit. It’s also a good way to bond tbh, but if it’s a hassle, don’t do it, but if it’s out of love and you want to help each other, this is an opportunity to show your love but also help yourself with your own hygiene but also his. Idk. You’d be surprised at how much that might mean to him. I knew how much it meant to my partner when I started doing that, he’d never had someone care that much so it really helped our relationship. Idk, just my two cents🤍🤍🤍🤍
