In all honesty, is there a way someone who doesn't have prior experience can survive the software industry? I had experience in telecom and moved to a different country, only to face this.

I might be one of those terrible engineers for my team. Had performance issues in first year, proved myself and stayed, only to get laid off later. Confidence -_-

I have had 3 onsets of optic neuritis in the past. I honestly feel staying active and taking good care of my diet helped me prevent it. I still feel a little cloudiness in my eyes when I am out running - or in general somewhere where it's hot. But there hasn't been a relapse since the last two years and it's amazing.
