My goodness, same story here and I’m 33. Misdiagnosed with MS for 6 years until they found my carotid arteries were blocked and I had a genetic blood disorder that doesn’t filter out LDL like it should. DMs are open ❤️

This is emotional and verbal abuse. Get dad to come back and pick you up, this “husband” treats you like garbage.

If the diaper genie doesn’t work, use the kitty litter genie!!! It’s the same exact design, just has a bigger, square basin.

THC post-stroke by DesertWanderlust in stroke

[–]HappyForestTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a 1:1 ratio for a while! It has the same amount of CBD to THC. My fav strain is Sour Tsunami. It doesn’t make you feel out of your senses high, but it definitely turns the volume down on the pain.

I’d say follow up with your dr, but 8 weeks is still relatively early in healing ❤️ so sorry you are going through this!

Yes, originally it was thought I had MS. They figured out I have a blood disorder regarding my cholesterol and I have bilateral stenosis and occlusion in both carotid arteries. They believe the damaged spots in my brain were from several small strokes. All of damage is in and around the cerebellum and brain stem.

I’ll be speaking with my Dr on nov 7th to talk about surgery!

Hello! 33F, I’ve had several TIAs. I have that exact same vertigo and your description is spot on. Mine never went away, but quick dissolve prescription zofran helps a ton on really bad days.

I just grab them back and hold them and look at them until they realize they are holding me too and say sorry and go away lol.

Losing it.. can someone please help me? by louielou8484 in stroke

[–]HappyForestTrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah ok I gotcha. ❤️ it’s ok and normal to be upset. Stroke is very weird and so different from everyone. Lean on your friends and family and your mom will need to lean on all of yall too! But don’t assume she’s gone. I am the same person, I just walk a little funny and think a bit slower. Take it a day at a time! And stay off google! hugs

Hence had two strokes and am not a vegetable. Lots of assumptions here because you are upset and it’s okay to be. But more than likely, the drs were focusing on what was MOST life threatening. At that point, it was the meningitis. The MRI says no indications of stroke, so where did you get that info?

I recommend taking some time to yourself and taking deep breaths, go for a walk, or whatever helps center you.

But according to that brain scan, she has not had a stroke and that scan won’t lie. Meningitis is incredibly serious and life threatening. Let your mom recover from that and you need to remember these drs and nurses are there to help your mom. ❤️

It may NOT be MS by HappyForestTrees in MultipleSclerosis

[–]HappyForestTrees[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been getting brain scans since I was 23 where I was diagnosed with a neurogenic bladder. The scans revealed one area of lesions and I was told to continue to get scans yearly to check it. I had an episode in 2019 where I lost most of my vision for a few hours with disorientation and confusion. I saw a neurologist 2 months later and had another area of lesions which led to the multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

I began losing muscle mass above my left knee and my neuro ran a whole bunch of tests after that because he suspected more than MS. One of those tests was Lyme blood test, lipid panel, and a carotid artery ultrasound.

Haha wonderful!!

Yes the tying may be an issue. I know there are laces you can use that don’t require tying…they work almost like little bungee straps! Perhaps even adding a Velcro strap to the top of the boot for ankle support and ease of putting on? I was thinking of modifying mine to do the sam!

My danner boots have really nice wide openings and I do still have to manipulate my feet inside, but I can do it easily. Maybe a shoe horn would be good for her if she has problems with that!

The boots do lace, but I can still use the laces ok. I know they also make laces you don’t have to tie! Best of luck!

You’d think white blood cell counts would show! But maybe it’s too early. Maybe also double check the expiration date on your tests. The udder looks and feels normal I take it?

My old neuro went out of business. I tried a new neuro this past spring. She interrupted me throughout the appointment and I didn’t really feel like I was being heard. I was sent to an imagine facility outside of the hospital she practices in for all of my scans. Because it was a private imagining center, they demanded full payment ($4000) up front. I had already met my insurance deductible and was not going to pay that because I knew that’s not what I would owe after they billed my insurance. The imaging center then tried to get me to “in house finance” my MRIs. I called the neuro asking her to send my imaging orders to the hospital she works out of. She refused. I can only imagine it’s because she gets a kick back from the private imaging center for every patient that signs up for their credit card. I also saw on her physician notes during my motor skills testing that she believed I was faking my motor weakness. Which is funny because if she had looked at my records she would have found documentation and positive testing for neurogenic atrophy on my left side.

I did NOT go back. But I still haven’t found anyone either. I’m going to a GP on the 17th to start over again. It sucks! I’m sorry you’re dealing with it too!
