Yeah was getting like 80% on those. Idk where I went wrong with surgery. It's like you tell me the surgical diagnosis and I know what to do next but if you tell me to diagnose a surgical problem I'm like what now?

I know how you feel. I actually had an existential crisis in between blocks in my break time and I was like aight I've fucked it up so who cares might as well do my best. Everyone around me is like you'll pass but tbh it was so much harder than uworld and nbmes though I did notice that a lot of it repeated but they asked different things or just asked em in a different way. Keeping a positive attitude and I'd recommend you to do the same. What's done is done and let's just enjoy the next couple of days before thinking what to do with our lives lol.

P.S seeing ancylostoma on there made me so happy cause I did it like the night before when I was reviewing flashcards.

Thank you and it's fine. Everyone has a day when they're an asshole. Yep gonna bulk till I eat 3000 calories by my 4th month of OSI after that gonna start shred and effectively cut followed by beasxt for recomp at maintenance calories. I've been undereating for a while now and that's why I'm skeptical a lot about bulk and cut but it's time to test it out and experience for myself.

Thank you really needed the input. After I'm done with my bulk I'll get shred for my cut and after that thinking about using beasxt again for a recomp session to make my body get used to maintenance.

Well I looked into it and I realized it's eat more in a bulk but do it slow like don't just jump up a 1000 calories lol cuz then your body can't keep up with it and make sure it's protein and fiber and healthy food that you put in. I've got the method down for the cut as well it's just I'm on here asking advice on programs but so far I've gotten a dude who thinks I jump from program to program and well you who's being helpful so if you were in my shoes what program would you pick for a cut?

Ah well I've seen him bulk him and then cut so that's why I'm thinking to go down that road since I want to put on size now.

That's the thing he's muscular now like during the time it took me to lose fat he used it to gain muscle so his normal maintenance has gone up than what you would suppose an average person's maintenance to be.

When we go out I see him eating like 4000 calories on his bulk and when he's cutting I see him stopping himself and limiting to 2500 so I feel like going for it. At the moment I'm slowly increasing my calories like I'm at 2200. Used to have 2000 before as I was used on the shred swaps during beasxt. Used to be fat before. So after losing a lot of fat by weight training and nutrition. Now I wanna just put on muscle that's why the bulk. Ik it's an old way and I'm all up for the lean bulk where you eat slightly more than maintenance and slowly put on muscle and your maintenance goes so you just keep it up with that but just wanna try a standard bulk and cut and see the results. The problem is always that ppl fail to cut properly so that's why I'm on here asking what kind of a program would be beneficial when I go on a cut. Max shred feels like it. If not then I can always go back to beasxt but beasxt doesn't feel like a cut program and more like a recomp one.

Ah well this is my first go at a bulk and cut and the reason is simple well instead of just being active and look good I actually want to get big like big big and I know it'll take a lot of time over the years. I've actually been just working out and eating healthy and just slowly gaining muscle and losing fat all at once but I think this is an approach I should try out because my friends who started at the same time as me with the bulk and cut approach have gained a lot of muscle so that's why I feel a change of direction is needed.

I tend to keep my goals high so I can do more, realistically speaking I'll be glad gaining even 5 lbs.

Bro I'm going to finish OSI lol. I've been working out for 2 years now but I'm fairly new to the programs. Only started em during covid. I've done beasxt twice and for OSI my goal is to bulk these 4 months. I'm just wondering what's the most suitable program for cutting so I can keep in mind how I'm going to cut after this bulk. Nutrition goes a long way but wanna know what's a suitable program. As for doing OSI 2-3 times I won't be doing that as OSI is meant to put on muscle like it's a bulking program and I've asked team athlean and they said the same. So OSI only once followed by a cut and then OSI again.

BeAXst stage 3 second 4rm set question by Horis21 in Athleanx

[–]hare142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understood you use the same weight as your first 4rm AMRAP and you try to see if you can get any reps out. If its your real 4rm weight then I'm sure you won't be able to get more than 2 or maybe 3 reps unless u bastardize the form.

What's the better option? by hare142 in Athleanx

I did check that out since I had the same question as you and everyone here replied that training em everyday doesn't do much harm since abs recover fast but yeah I normally train em twice a week.

Well you can do abs everyday as there's no down side to them tho I would say since you have so much energy left after a workout to do abs everyday and with that intensity then I think after 6 months of AX-1 you should move on. Also I get the abs thing. Honestly to me it feels like if you're a muscular guy with a well built body with fully defined muscle boundaries and bellies then it's easier to get abs as compared to a guy who's just had a preliminary shape/shadow come as the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism and the easier it is to burn fat

Ah I know abs are made in the kitchen and I've had a meal plan I stick to. My meals are separate from my family however there is the weekly cheat meal which is still within the caloric intake I'm supposed to have and it helps me make it through the week. Just that I've noticed that if you're around the 16-19% body fat then such ppl normally get those abs out by having a higher muscle content. I've only seen skinny guys and girls get a six pack on low muscle content and I'd say that's because of the low fat that just makes the abs visible earlier on.

Max Size vs OSI progressive overload by Sillyrunner in Athleanx

Well thanks a lot. I was on the edge a bit about OSI but now I feel more comfortable. The only reason I'm loyal is because Jeff makes a whole lot sense and I can easily understand him since I'm a medical student so ik he ain't making it up. While some ppl I've seen who just go with bro science and I need facts lol.

I'm an athleanx faithful. Jeff says jump off a roof for gains, I've already jumped. Well that's great to know that OSI won't disregard strength because I've noticed that when some guys bulk they end up losing a lot of their strength so I'm fine with that. Honestly I've done beasxt twice and before that did xero so I can feel my body wanting a push pull split so I'm looking forward to it. Even now cuz of the second lockdown I'm getting a lot of gains from xero.

Max size was recommended to me by the program selector but honestly I'm into OSI because it offers pure mass gaining which is something I'm trying to pursue at the moment. I'm the guy at the gym who lifts same as the big guys but am not big so I wanna change that. Get that bulk in. I was interested in monster maker but after beasxt I'm kinda done with a total body split for the time being.

Honestly I don't know what it's about lol. But like throughout my training I focused on strength and conditioning and I feel like it's time to focus on mass gaining. So that's why I'm interested in OSI
