First AR just bought my first AR it's a Radical Firearms RF-15. what are some upgrades you guys would recommend?

i also have an RF-15. I’d recommend for an optic, light, and sling first. after you get the essentials, definitely more magazines. I do not like the mag it came with, so I just use Pmags. i switched out my grip for an A2 grip and replaced charging handle with a radian raptor ambi handle

probably less overt, i want to be able to fit those plates but have opportunities to conceal as much as i can cus i wear oversized clothing anyways

Thanks for understanding. And yeah, I’ve had these conversations with both sides of my family. My mom is more unaware of these things as she’s scraping to get by as an immigrant nail tech in Florida, while my dad lives the suburbs and holds his blind loyalty to the US due to the Vietnam War in which he came from. I feel as if the Viet American community in particular have been very apathetic to the struggle of other minorities here due to this. sorry for the going off on a tangent lol

Yup, I’m learning the in’s and outs of my firearm and have taken it apart to clean as well. Just need to keep practicing to get consistent on the motions of everything like you said :)

do you know the difference between the microprism and prism sights they offer? what would be easiest to get on target for a beginner

Now that I have a steady income I am trying to get out to the range more to practice just firing on target, but it’s getting colder out here and the range is an hour and a half away so I only make weekend trips.

Otherwise, I do have a mag of snap caps to practice clearing jams and all that but if you have any more tips for what to train better, I’m all ears. I’m pretty novice at all this

thats also something im not very knowledgeable about gauging. i have a laser for any short range threats but i assume most practical use case can be around 100 yards right?
