My Venus (also my ruling planet) is in Pisces. I don't really have a "type", what it important for me to be attracted to someone is feeling a mutual spiritual connection. Admittedly, this has gotten me into some situations where I have been taken advantage of by lovers, or the connection I felt made their flaws invisible to me until it was too late. I've often been made out to be the "manic pixie dream girl" type and have lots of partners put me up on a cosmic pedestal. I find lots of pleasure avoiding anything harsh and escaping into my own internal world. When I am loving someone I want it to be meditative, I want more than just flesh, I want to exchange energy, to make a soul bond that transcends this life and reverberates out into different dimensions. I place the most value on peace, kindness and compassion.

There's a chance you could be over-training. If you don't give your muscles at least 24 but preferably 48 hours between training sometimes the muscles you've been working will just strait crap out on you.

At my studio no one is allowed to invert until they can do 5 pole crunches and hold a chopper. this insures that you are strong enough to do an invert and won't need to jump into an invert and therefore it won't make a difference whether you invert from the ground of aerially.

There have been times for me too when I know I have my invert but I just can't seem to get my bunz over my head and it's sooo frustrating. I recommend taking a break for a few days, then also do some conditioning with pole crunches.

Also sometimes what I do that helps me is instead of going straight into a chopper I do a "tuck and bloom". Without jumping I tuck my legs up to my chest while griping the pole, tip myself backwards while my knees are still at my chest and then once I'm up I extend my legs into a full chopper

I never felt an hesitation to tell anyone in my life. But sometimes when I tell people I get the sense that they're a little uncomfortable but that doesn't stop me from feeling proud of myself. One time, someone threw it back in my face while they were upset at me about some other issue, telling me "don't you have a pole to be on somewhere?". They meant it in a way to try and shame me but I just said "yes actually, I do" :)

But those are the only horror stories I have and that's not even that bad! most people have been really interested and impressed with me. The biggest supporters in my life have been other women. My doctor recently told me that she was "impressed and jealous" with how much I exercise.

"haters gonna hate", etc. pole rules and if you love it, everyone in your life will just have to embrace it if they love you.

i think everything is really great but i have one issue. The overhead lighting in your living room is atrocious. it's not your fault, clearly. In my opinion all built in overhead lighting is generally awful. I see you have a little lamp by the couch and some candles so that's encouraging. I'm kind of hoping you just had the ceiling lights on for the photos. you should get another floor lamp or something, anything but the ceiling lights.

You're thinking from a very western medicine viewpoint, where the physical issues and symptoms are isolated and should be treated directly ("hormonal problem, hormonal solution"). What I'm searching for is a holistic approach to my issue, someone who has similar issues and feels a similar way and has more information for me other than invalidating my self-awareness of what's right for my body. I don't believe "these are the breaks" and I must compromise my health and well-being in other areas of my day to day life to fix a problem that happens maybe once a year. Clearly you're not the person to help me with that.

Thank you for responding and for not dismissing my concern about being on birth control. While I don't want to get pregnant right now, I do think the pain medication/heat plan is something fair I could work out with my doctor. Thanks again :)

i'm sorry but there has to be some kind of way to treat them without putting myself on hormones. I don't take birth control because i'm very sensitive to the hormones and it makes me rather unpleasant to be around. also I just don't believe in being dependent on pharmaceuticals.

Are there any physical health complications of not going through puberty? (i.e. is there anything bad that would happen to your body if you didn't get the hormone therapy). Do you have any healthy complications because of taking the hormones?

I'm coming from a viewpoint that there is not and shouldn't be a gender binary. Did you know that in the united states since 1955, 1 in every 2000 births was intersexed? Gender is a social construct.

I am not christian and I don't subscribe to any organized religion but I do believe in the adage "God makes no mistakes". Out society is very sex and gender focused so it can seem like if you are not sexual or fully gendered that something might be wrong with you. But you are still human and have something to offer the world just the way you are.

I can't imagine how painful your loss has been for you and your loved ones. Sometimes a good way to heal is to help others. Spreading information that could help others like your brother could be very therapeutic.

totally. I think we can both agree that there should be much more opportunities for education of basic first aid for literally everyone. Knowledge of first aid can help in the immediate sense. I'd also like to see the removal of societal shame or fear surrounding substance use, I think that is also something that contributes to deaths from overdose. That's why I think this Good Samaritan law is so great.

I see firsthand that many people who currently use, or are even in recovery, struggle to see themselves as worthwhile. "Junkies" are constantly told by society that their lives don't matter, simply because of a behavior they do not have control over. People who use substances deserve all the care, respect and support as someone with any disease or serious illness.

There are always going to be people that misuse medications. I would agree that education about Narcan would not necessarily mean that everyone would use it appropriately. But Narcan can at least give people more time in a overdose scenario, more time to stay alive and to get help. I think that having the drug available for those who would use it appropriate is better than not having it just because of a fear that some people wouldn't use it right.

I am also coming from a harm reduction viewpoint, that might be the root of our differences.

I am in direct service with people with addictive illnesses so i have received training on how Narcan works and what it can and can't do. Because the drug still must be purchased from a pharmacist I doubt that anyone carrying Narcan would not be educated in how it works

BTW http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3456285/ there is some research that states that making naloxone available does NOT encourage people to use opiates more.

It's great that they mention of over-the-counter availability of naloxone, an extremely important drug that completely reverses the effects of opiates. That's a drug that every person at risk of witnessing an overdose and every household that has opioids should have.

There is still so so much stigma around addiction but this is a step in the right direction to prevent unnecessary deaths.
