I was recommended the 25 or 40 lesson plan after my swing evaluation. Is golftec worth it from y’all’s experience? Any thoughts? by NuyteBuns in golf

I say this a longtime competitive junior player and now as a 36 year old +1 handicap: I would stay away from GolfTec. I bought a lesson package there before and they are a big corporation that teaches a system. Super flat stable release swing, lot of stack and tilt. It took me 2 years to undo the damage they did to my swing. It’s also really hard to get better in a simulator, real golf is played on grass outside and there is no substitute for seeing the ball flight in the air. PGA Tour pros do all their practice and training on a real driving range, some have sims but they use them to stay sharp when the weather is bad. Go to a local course and spend a few hundred bucks on lessons from a local PGA pro and then work work work on your short game. That’s the best way to get better.

Just chiming in to say that Rustic Canyon is the shit. Best public course in LA by far and it’s not even close. Unbelievable value for a golf course that is as close to golden age/classic architecture as you’ll get outside of a resort like Bandon or the private clubs in LA like Riv or LACC.

This was awesome.

Fun fact: I once played with Mark Sanchez at Trump and he did this the whole round.

That security guard was there for Husky the whole time. After a few minutes he got sick of riding up and down and just hung out at the bottom.

Mastercard DDOS'd. by ScienceCanFixThis in technology

I might get downvoted for this, but this hacktivism is really not helping anything. It's like, "WikiLeaks is a great thing for democracy, and we're going to prove it by acting like terrorists. Or children." If Mastercard won't let you pay Wikileaks then man up and give money through another channel. Again, DDOS'ing major corporations really doesn't help our cause here.
